Before you start reading, I'm going to use normal font from now on for the dialogues (not the italic one). Also, anything confusing will be explained in the next chapters or so. Keep in mind if you have any questions, regarding any of the character's actions. Well, that's all.

I woke up around... midnight? I wasn't sure. The dim glow of the moon lit my room slightly and with the branches of the trees, blocking half of the moonlight, their shadows danced around while creating shadowy silhouettes.

Groggy and disoriented, I reached out to grab my phone from the nightstand, only to find the smooth surface of wood beneath my fingertips instead of the phone screen.. With a growing sense of unease, I sat up in bed and scanned the room, searching for my phone. Did I forget to bring it with me when I was...wait.. I tried recalling the events that had happened ... probably hours ago.

Okay ..uh, let's see..what happened.. I recalled being chased through the park by a shadowy figure and encountering a weird skeleton...the rest is all blurry. This seemed so surreal, like a scene from a bizarre dream or some movie that might actually turn interesting, if only the director puts more budget into it. But the lingering sense of fear and confusion told me otherwise...why was that? Clearly, I fell asleep and had dreamed of this bs! There was no way that was real.

As I was lost in thought, the sound of the doorknob turning startled me. Who is inside my apartment?!?!?
I watched in disbelief as the skeleton from my supposed dream entered my room, holding my phone in hand... isn't he a ghost? Wtf-

Ehem,

He seemed entirely focused on the device, oblivious to my presence until he looked up and flashed me a rather unsettling smile.

"Ah, you're awake," he remarked casually, his tone sending shivers down my spine.

Panic rose within me as he approached, making me instinctively back away to the corner of the bed. His 'eyes' seemed to gleam with amusement at my reaction, making me somewhat annoyed. He stopped just enough to be out of reach, then crossed his arms, making himself appear nonchalant.

"There's no need to be scared, human. I don't bite," he jokingly reassured me, his grin growing wider with each passing moment. However, that didn't calm me down even one bit.

My mind raced with questions, and I couldn't help but stammer out my confusion. "H-How did you know where I live?" I demanded, my voice trembling despite my efforts to appear calm.

The skeleton let out a snort and casually tossed my phone in my direction, causing me to fumble and barely catch it before it collided with the floor. I sighed with relief as I looked at my phone - undamaged, then I glanced at the 'person' in front of me.

He floated effortlessly in the air and settled into a cross-legged position before he explained, "I looked through your phone, obviously," his tone dripping with condescension as if my question was utterly dumb.

I wished I could roll my eyes at his arrogance at that moment but I didn't want to provoke him. "Oh... uh... okay," I mumbled weakly. I wanted to ask more questions but the intensity of his gaze on me made me hesitate, filling me with a sense of unease and wariness. Why is he staring at me like that?!

He sighed in boredom after seeing that I was too scared to talk. "I don't believe we've properly acquainted ourselves, have we?" He put on his hood, veiling his features as he continued, "I'm Error. As you can see, I'm from the....Underworld." He paused before saying the name, as if unsure whether to share it with me or not. He continued, "And you, little human? What's your name?"
