Tristan POV

I could hear crying noises from my living room. Who could be here at this time? As far as I know Cassie was at her friend Nia's house and no one else lives in this house.

I went and checked who was there and to my surprise it was Cassie, sobbing badly. What the fuck happened to her? I rushed towards her and kneeled down in front of her.

"Cass, what happened?" I asked her.

"Levi" she sobbed even loudly, I was getting worried sick about her, what did that Levi do?

"What did he do Cass?" I asked in a comforting voice. My heart aches for her, Mum and dad passed away 2 years ago, they got into a acar accident, Levi knows this. And I warned him not to tell Elyse, which I suppose he hasn't. After them Cassie is my only family and I'm her only family. I can't afford to lose her.

"Levi- Tristan-" more sobs, "he broke up with me." She said in one breath and started crying even louder.

What the fuck? Levi broke up with her? I never really worried about Levi and her, I thought he'd never break her heart. That guy literally looks at Cassie like I look at Elyse. Like she's everything beautiful to exist.

"Why?" I asked her. She hugged me even tighter and sniffled.

"I um I keep bringing you up which-which makes Elyse upset and she cries, Levi-he told me so many times not to bring you up but when- but when I talk about home, you eventually come up, today he said- he's had enough seeing his sister hurt and he'll end it with me." She said in sniffles. Her words confused me, first off she comes home in the middle of the night from Nia's house and cries, did they break up on phone? Or she was actually at his house and lied to me.

Fuck. This girl, will make me crazier than I already am.

"Didn't you say you'll be at Nia's house." I politely asked her, she looked at me with wide eyes and fear evident in them. She again hugged me tightly and said, "I'm sorry Tris, I'm so sorry, I promise I won't lie to you again."

If it was a normal day, I'd have grounded her, I don't care if she's an adult. And would have personally taught Levi a lesson, not that I am not going to do the latter now.

"It's okay." I whispered to her and ran my hands through her hair. And I got up to get some water for her. As soon as I got up she held my hand in a tight grip.

"Where are you going?" She asked.

"To get water for you." I replied. She nodded her head. After getting her water, I made sure she slept. It was already 6 by then. Once I was sure she was sleeping I rushed towards Levi's house. I swear I never drove this fast. After I reached there I started ringing the doorbell many times and banging on the door. After two minutes of continuously doing so the gate finally opened. Thinking it would be Levi I raised my hand to punch him, but instead it was my e- it was Elyse.

"What's wrong with you?" She asked shielding her face with her hands. She looked like she came straight out of bed as she was in her pjs and after she removed her hands from her face, I could see the tear stains on her beautiful face.

How wonderful it is, the only two girls I actually care about in this world are crying because of me. I remained dumbfounded for about 5 minutes, staring at her.

"Hello? I'm talking to you."

"Where's your brother?" I asked her.

"I don't know, must be in his room or something." She said but then her eyes suddenly became wide and she stopped me. "Wait."

"What?"

"Let's talk, you know talking is important and what you gotta do with Levi anyways, you know my friends-"

"Elyse, Cassie is at home, I knew she was here. Levi broke up with her. I need to have a word with the piece of shit you call your brother." I replied.

Her mouth formed an 'o' in realisation.

"Why would Levi break up with her?" She questioned. Like she didn't know.

"Because of you." I said. Glaring daggers at her.

"Because of me? Why would he break up with Cassie because of me? Are you stupid?" She yelled at me.

"She's not the reason for mine and Cassie's break up. You are." I heard Levi's voice. As soon as I saw him I lunged towards him and was about to punch him and that very moment Elyse came in front of me. Shit. What if I had accidentally punched her?

"You are not hitting Levi." She said. Oh god, I should've thought of this possibility beforehand and met Levi outside their house.

"Elyse, get a side. I wanna punch him and beat him. My sister doesn't deserve to cry over a guy." I yelled.

Levi lightly pushed Elyse a side and came face to face with me, he did have the almost same height as me.

"And my sister does?" He yelled in my face and held my collar. "You couldn't see your sister cry even 4 hours for a guy and I've been seeing her cry 4 years for the same fucking guy who doesn't give a shit about her." Then he pushed me and again came in front of me. "I've always wanted to kill you whenever I saw her cry over you, remember the day I punched you in the face and kicked you in the shin, Cassie told Elyse and they both didn't talk to me for a week straight. So for the sake of them both I control myself." He sighed deeply and continued, "If your sister's tears matter then so does mine's. I can't see her cry every time when Cassie happily mentions your name. It's been 4 years. I can't be this selfish. I can't." And he concluded with that and I saw a single tear drop from his eyes.

He was right. I was being a hypocrite. If I can't see my sister crying over some asshat, then I shouldn't expect anyone else to either. I looked at Elyse and she was crying. I went near her and tried to wipe off her tears. But she pushed me away. That hurt.

"I'm sorry, sorry for everything." I said.

"I'll talk to you when we meet tomorrow. Leave for now." She said not looking me even in the eye.

Have I really hurt her that much?
