I couldn't believe my eyes. I repeated his name, "Tristan" as in a realisation.

"Elyse." He acknowledged my presence and looked down and Elodie and moved past me. He cannot just ignore me for 4 years and move ahead like nothing happened. Like he didn't break my heart into a million pieces, like he didn't leave me lifeless.

"You cannot just leave like this again." I yelled, diverting everyone's attention towards us. He stopped in his tracks and turned back moving toward me and took a deep sigh.

"Elyse, I can. It's my choice." He said and turned back again. I have never wanted to kill him more.

"No, it's not your choice. You did that 4 years ago, you left me. You left me with a fucking note, I was in the hospital and after I read your note, I regretted the moment I opened my eyes. You owe me an explanation Tristan." I yelled.

"Don't cause a scene here, Elyse. We can talk upon meeting up." He said so calmly. I vigorously shook my head.

"No, no then you won't come and then...and then I know you won't." By this time tears were flowing down my face. He came near me and wiped my tears, his touch still makes me shiver, nothing has changed about my feelings, I still want him by my side, more than I ever did.

"I promise." He whispered and I scoffed.

"You promised before too, you know what? Here's my new number." I handed him my card, "Call me if you want to talk, if not then I'll forget you for good." And I left.

It was 9 pm and I waited for his call but it never came, I was only going to wait for 2 more days and no more after that, cause after that we are done for good and so is my hope for him. I didn't realise when I fell into deep slumber when I woke up it was 4:08 AM, I checked if there were any messages from Tristan ans surprisingly there was a text around 1 AM.

Hey Elyse, Tristan here...

I think it's best we talk about us and get it over with it as soon as possible.

Let's meet day after at Cookie and Shakes at 5 PM

Hope to see you there.

Get it over with? Ok, that's not why I wanted to meet him. I wanted to sit and discuss his bloody problem so I can just get him or get a final closure. through his messages it seems like the only thing I'll get is the latter.

That works.

I replied to him in two words. Three dots appeared on screen but then soon disappeared. this happened four times but I got nothing. I went to the kitchen to get some water.

"Oh god." I said as soon as I entered the kitchen, I definitely did not want to witness Levi and Callie eating out each other's face in the middle of the night.

"Shit." They both muttered. Good thing, they look embarrassed.

"You guys, there are 12 rooms in this house and only two of them are occupied by people, one is occupied by Levi, so out of 10 free room, you want to make out in the kitchen? Come on." I gave them disgusted looks, because of course you want to see your brother making out with his girlfriend.

"Actually, making out in the kitchen was kind of in my bucket list and we can't do it at my place as you know Tristan would be there and he-" Levi nudged her with his elbow, she hissed and smacked her head, "Sorry, I didn't realise, I didn't do that purposely." She said, guilt lacing her voice.

"I know, it's alright. Really." I said with a smile. But no, it's not alright, even a mention of his name brings about thousands of emotions flowing in me, tears started flowing down my eyes but I quickly wiped them off.

"I- um I must leave, you guys carry on." I replied and left with a water bottle. On reaching my room I curled up on the corner of my bed with a blanket around me. I could hear Levi and Callie yelling at each other. Great, now I'm causing problems in everyone's life.

"I have told you a million times don't mention your brother's name in front of her, but you don't get it, do you?" Levi yelled.

"I didn't do it on purpose, Lev. You know she's like a sister to me." Callie replied back with the same volume.

"Of course she is, every second day you bring up your brother and my sister has to cry because of that, it's getting more than enough Callie, I'm telling you." Levi yelled even louder.

"It's not my fault Levi, it's time she moves on." Callie said.

'It's time she moves on'

'It's time she moves on'

'It's time she moves on'

'It's time she moves on'

How can I move on? How can I move on from him? after that I blocked all the voices coming from downstairs and sat on the couch of my balcony. Thoughts consuming me. Tristan was the first guy I actually fell in love with ands I want him to be the last. But what if Callie is right? What if it is actually time to move on from him? Am I really wasting my time? I woke up with a sound of loud banging. My head is already aching so bad, who could be banging the door at--- I checked m phone 6 in the morning? Milkman doesn't come so early.

I opened the door and it was Tristan. Am I dreaming or something? I pinched myself and realised it wasn't actually a dream.

"You're not dreaming El." he said and the ground beneath my feet almost vanished
