"That movie was so good!"
Y/N said, as she pushed open the exit doors of the theatre - Damien and Ashley following behind her.
"It was so romantic when he dipped her down and kissed her! Ugh, what I wouldn't give."

Damien quickly came up to her side, not wanting Ashley to occupy the space beside his best friend. He still felt very weary of Ashley, and rightfully so.

"Eh, it was alright, I'm surprised you like a romance movie that much."
Ashley spoke.

"Of course she does. It's been her favorite genre of film since age six. Then horror movies, and comedies."
Damien stated, showing off how much he knows about his best friend to the foreign girl.

Damien squinted his eyes at her, in an almost challenging way.

Ashley glared at him briefly before throwing a false smile on her face and raising her hands up defensively.

"Hey, I didn't mean anything bad by it. She just didn't seem like a romance type of girl, that's all."
Ashley snapped back, trying to sound unbothered, but it came off more salty than sweet.

Damien rolled his eyes and looked away from Ashley.

Y/N sensed the tension growing between them, and knowing Damien, he would start a fight with anyone for his loved ones - so before he had the chance to even think about starting something, Y/N intervened.

"So, Ashley, what's your favorite movie genre?"
Y/N gently grasped Damien's hand, to calm him down, and so it told him she wasn't ignoring him.

Ashley looked down at Y/N's hand holding Damien's, giving her first rumor to start.

Ashley looked at Y/N.
"That's a good question. Uhm...it would probably have to be horror and thriller movies."

"You have such good taste! So, what's your favorite scary movie?..."

Damien and Y/N finally arrived back home, after having walked Ashley to her house first because it was so close.

Y/N pushed the front door open with Damien whining behind her.

"I'm serious, Y/N! You shouldn't trust her, she's a total bitch."
Damien said as he closed the front door behind the both of them.

Y/N ignored his pestering and continued to walk towards her room, she needed to have some alone time.

"Y/N, please don't be mad, I'm just trying to look out for you,"
Damien gave her a pleading look, his voice as soft and smooth as silk.

Y/N finally turned around to face Damien, an irritated look on her face.

"Damien, I don't think you're getting it through your head - that if I want your help, I'll ask for it. Until then, bud out of my personal business!"
Y/N stormed off to her room, ready to just change into her pjs and relax.

Damien was left standing there with a hurt look on his face. All he wanted was to express his worry for her, and she kept shutting him out.

Damien ran his hand through his hair and walked into the living room, flopping onto the couch.

Just then, Y/N's mom walked through the front door with two brown bags full of groceries.

M/N noticed Damien and smiled at him, but then she noticed the upset look on his face.

She placed the groceries on the floor, along with her keys and purse, then walked over to Damien.

"Hey Damien, is everything alright? Where's Y/N?"
M/N took a seat next to Damien, still giving him some space.

"She's in her room. And yeah, yeah...everything's peachy."
Damien smiled up at her briefly, before throwing his gaze back down to his folded hands in his lap.

"Damien. I've known you long enough to know when something is upsetting you."
M/N placed a gentle hand on his shoulder.

Damien couldn't hold in his feelings anymore and his eyes started to water.

"Oh dear, I didn't mean to upset you, Damien. If I said something wrong, I'm sorry-"

"No, no. It isn't that...it's just-...I don't know."
Damien mumbled.

"Tell me, I might be able to help. Even if I can't, just talking about it always helps."
M/N patiently waited for Damien to tell her what was bothering him.

"Okay...so, you know Sal's ex-girlfriend - Ashley?"
Damien began.

"Yes, she's an...alright girl."
M/N said with uncertainty, she had known about what she's done to Sal and others, but she didn't want to downright say she was a horrible child.
Cause that's just not fair.

"Yeah, she's a real sweetheart."
Damien said sarcastically.
"Anyway, I was just telling Y/N that something isn't right about her. I have an overwhelming feeling of dread every time I see her. I'm just worried that she might try and hurt Y/N, but she doesn't believe me."

"Have you talked to her about it? I mean, really talked to her about it?"
M/N asked.

"I tried! But she just shuts me out, and I don't think she understands that I'm just trying to look out for her."

"Damien, Y/N is a strong and very smart girl. I'm sure she understands where you're coming from, but if she wants to speak to Ashley that's her business."
Y/N's mother said.

"No, yeah, I understand that. I just want Y/N to be cautious of her is all. Of course she can have other friends, and of course she can talk to anyone she wants to, but I'm worried."
Damien explained.

"I'm sure she'll understand. Go talk to her. That's always worked with her ever since she was old enough to understand English."
M/N laughed softly.

Damien looked up at her.
"Do you really think I can get through to her?"

"Of course you can. She can understand anything if you just calmly talk it out with her."
M/N reassured.

Damien nodded, wiping off his tears.
"I'll try...thank you."

M/N smiled at him, then left to go put the groceries away.

Damien walked up to Y/N's bedroom door and hesitantly knocked.
