The Miami Grand Prix press conference room was abuzz with anticipation. Celia Winter, Max Verstappen, Carlos Sainz, Tina Christensen, and George Russell sat side by side on the stage, facing a sea of reporters and photographers. Sadie, Celia's PR manager, couldn't hide her nervousness as she approached her.
"Are you and Max fine after your Baku crash? Both of you seemed very angry before going back to the hotel" asked Sadie Celias PR manager "we talked a bit about it, we are okay" answered the Blonde lying about the activities the two of them did
"Okay, please make my life not so hard" said the manager and re-applied Celias blush "yeah, not causing a scene during media day, can't promise anything"
"Fine, go out there, troublemaker" the manager smiled before pushing her client in the direction of the stage
A journalist raised their hand, eager to dive deeper into the dynamics between the drivers. "Celia, Max, how do you manage to compete fiercely on the track and then seemingly patch things up off it? Is there a mutual respect between you two despite the intense rivalry?"
Celia leaned forward, her expression thoughtful. "Racing at this level is incredibly competitive, and emotions run high. We're all here to win, and sometimes, clashes are inevitable. But off the track, we're professionals. We understand the nature of our sport, and there's a mutual respect that comes with that. We can set aside our differences and focus on the race ahead."
Max nodded in agreement, his eyes meeting Celia's for a brief moment. "Exactly. We might have our disagreements, but we're all part of this incredible sport. We push each other to our limits, and that competition, that challenge, it's what makes us better drivers. And yes our relationship—" he paused and corrected himself "friendship is very professional and doesn't get affected by crashing into each other— at least not on long term"
The journalists scribbled down notes, capturing the nuances of their responses. The room seemed to relax slightly, the acknowledgment of mutual respect diffusing some of the tension.
The press conference continued, with questions ranging from race strategy to their thoughts on the Miami circuit. Celia, Max, Carlos, Tina, and George answered each query with poise, showcasing the blend of camaraderie and competition that defined Formula 1. As the conference concluded, the drivers left the stage, ready to face the challenges and excitement that the Miami Grand Prix would undoubtedly bring.
