It was the first race of the 2025 season, and Celia Winter was back where she belonged — on the grid. After giving birth to Luna just a few months ago, Celia was feeling stronger than ever. The Australian Grand Prix was always a fan favorite, and this year, it felt even more special. Not only was she back in the car, but her sister Ophelia had decided to join them for the season, serving as Luna's official babysitter while both Celia and Max were racing.

Ophelia had other reasons for being there, though, ones that Celia didn't yet know about. The secret affair between Ophelia and Celia's rookie teammate, Paul Aron, was still under wraps. They were keeping it quiet for now, but being around the team every weekend wasn't going to make it easy.

As Celia walked through the paddock, her race suit hanging off her waist, she couldn't help but feel excited. Her rookie teammates — Ollie Bearman, Paul Aron, and Jack Doohan — were full of energy, and it reminded her of her own rookie days. Celia had unofficially taken on the role of grid mom, along with Lando and Oscar, who had a natural instinct for mentoring the new drivers. They had a kind of "big sibling" energy, guiding the rookies through the chaos of the paddock, the media, and the pressure of race weekends.

"Alright, boys," Celia called out as she approached Paul, Jack, and Ollie, who were standing around chatting. "You ready for the season opener? No nerves, right?"

Paul grinned at her. "I'm good. Just making sure these two don't mess up."

Ollie rolled his eyes, laughing. "We'll see who's messing up after the race."

"Hey, keep it civil," Lando teased as he walked over with Oscar in tow. "We don't need any rookie drama before the season even starts."

Oscar gave a nod of agreement, but his smile was warm. "Just listen to your grid mom here, and you'll be fine."

Celia chuckled. "Exactly. You listen to us, and maybe we'll teach you some tricks."

As the group continued to chat and joke around, Celia caught sight of Max a few meters away, talking with his engineer. He glanced her way and gave her a wink, his smile making her heart skip a beat. They had been through so much together — from the early days of their relationship to marriage and now, raising a daughter.

Ophelia, her sister, had also decided to tag along for the entire F1 season, not just to support her sister but also for some more... personal reasons — specifically, a certain rookie teammate of Celia's, Paul Aron. What Celia didn't know was that Ophelia had been quietly dating Paul for some time now, keeping their affair a secret for now.

But when it came to Luna, Ophelia was the perfect doting aunt. While Celia and Max prepared for their race, Ophelia was back in the motorhome, handling her niece with ease. Luna, at just a few months old, was already showing signs of being as energetic and lively as her parents. Ophelia rocked the little girl in her arms, humming softly, her eyes occasionally drifting toward the TV showing the race preparations — and, more specifically, any time Paul appeared on screen.
