The realisation should've come earlier. Friendships with benefits never end good. Or at least they never end in what they are supposed to. Either people fall in love or they make it akward because feelings are weird or their friendship breaks up because the love isn't mutual.
Celia was sitting on Sebs outside couch when she realised it. She was watching his kids while Hanna made them a cocktail. She forgot Switzerland was incredible hot in the summer time.
She was sitting at the pool watching the 3 kids of her former teammate have a water fight when Seb sat down next to her and handed her the Aperol Spritz Hanna had made.
"Thank you" she smiled "you should thank Hanna" he smiled while his eyes wandered to his kids "They look so much like you and Hanna, its crazy" "Thats how genetics work" said Seb making her giggle
"They are really sweet too, be careful or someone might kidnap them" Seb let out a laugh "they are menaces, the kidnapper would bring them back after an hour because they ask too many stupid questions and annoy the hell of them" Celia laughed as well before taking a sip of her drink
"So what are you plans for the rest of summer, Charles said something about USA?" Asked the retired driver "oh we are flying to see Taylor Swift in Mexico, i think he mixed that up" she chuckled "I am meeting him and his friends in Porto, we are flying straight to Mexico City from there" explained the blonde
"And then i have to go back to the factory" "sounds calm" said Seb "well i already visited my family in Aachen and went to italy with Lando and Charlotte" she left Max out, Seb really didn't need to know about that or him
"I am glad you get along with the rookies" Celia chuckled "well Oscar, Charlotte and Liam" who drove for alpha tauri afterthought Nick Drama "are really easy to get along with" Seb nodded "and Tina?"
"Please don't start with her, she is a menace but we are civil but it's difficult— but I think having to see her— I don't know— gives me closure i guess" she let out a sigh "thats good"
The day went by quickly. Warm, sunny days with her favorite people always seem to fly by in moments. Celia was standing the Vettel kitchen drinking a glass of water while the kids were watching their favourite TV Show— which if she was honest was hers too back when she was a kid
"Everything alright?" asked Hanna entering the kitchen to put the dishes— that her husband left— away "oh, yeah" Celia exed her glass and started to help Hanna load the dishwasher "I know Seb hasn't mentioned it because he doesn't watch your Instagram stories, but i do. So tell me about your situation-Ship or whatever it is called"
"Oh god" Celia groaned "I am not trying to be a gossip, but he seems important to you, so if you want to you can talk to me about it or him" offered the older woman "its complicated" started Celia
