The final race of the 2028 Formula 1 season took place under the dazzling lights of the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. The atmosphere was electric, with fans packing the stands to witness the conclusion of what had been an extraordinary chapter in the sport's history. For Max, it was a triumphant end to his f1 career, and for Lewis Hamilton, it was a bittersweet farewell as he completed his last race as a driver.
Celia however was battling with a car that had seen better days, managed to secure third place—a testament to her driving skill and determination. Max, with his usual dominance, crossed the finish line first, while Lewis, in his final race, took second place.
"So Celia tell us how did you drag your car to the podium?" asked Jenson who was doing the post race interviews "well i think i got lucky" she chuckled "Charles was struggling with his tyres and i got a free pitstop due to George crashing out and the safety car" Jenson nodded "and how do you feel about sharing the podium with two drivers who's career in formula one is ending with this race"
"Well of course they will be missed and its been a pleasure racing both of them. I think especially because they have been here for my whole career in F1. It's been great fun but I am lucky enough that I'll continue having them in my life, since Lewis has become a close friend and well my husband can't get rid of me" she chuckled
"And signed a contract for next year?" asked Jenson smirking "you know dam well that i signed even before it was announced that Dino would join VW next year" she laughed "yeah tell me about it" she flipped him off before starting to walk off
"THANK YOU CELIA WINTER-VERSTAPPEN" she giggled "come on, you were at the wedding and after 4 years and winning Le Mans together you should know its Verstappen-Winter" Jenson just laughed as Celia walked off and Lewis walked up to him
"So Lewis Hamilton your last Formula 1 race, huh?" he nodded "it doesn't feel real yet but i think i will start crying once it really hits. But yes my last formula 1 race" "21 years, 130 wins, 8 championships, you leave quite a legacy behind but tell me about this race"
"I really enjoyed it, racing Max and unfortunately George crashed out, but i am glad he is okay and Charles was struggling and missed out on the podium but i think it worked out for me" explained Lewis "and what now?" asked Jenson "well I am sure my husband will keep my occupied" Jenson pretended to be shocked "I'm gonna pretend that I wasn't sitting front row at the wedding" Lewis laughed "THANK YOU LEWIS HAMILTON-ROSBERG" Lewis walked off smiling before Max joined Jenson for the interview
"One Verstappen-Winter is leaving us, so how are the chances of the next generation joining us in 15 year" Max chuckled "very low I would say, Luna despises racing. Lando took her karting once and she hated him afterwards only for 20 minutes because then he got her ice cream, but she won't be presurring racing for sure"
As Celia, Max, and Lewis stood on the podium, the crowd's cheers were thunderous. Max held his trophy high, a symbol of his fifth world title, while Lewis and Celia shared the podium with pride. The national anthems played, and the trio basked in the glory of their achievements.
