Things have been going pretty smoothly for Jennifer, she liked the school and her job was nice. The only problem was Yoona, the blonde girl from the office. For some reason, she had some problems with the brunette.
'Could you print this? Thanks' She once asked her. The innocent girl didn't thought much about it, till when she came back with the papers and she threw a tantrum on how she didn't ask her to print it, but to pass it to a colleague. Or that one time where she told Jennifer that the next day they were starting an hour later, because Mr. Hanbin said so, but turns out she said it by accident and meant to tell her to send some files an hour earlier because the case was urgent.
Least to say that she arrived late and was scolded by the leader of the team...Park Minyoung.
'I think she has something against me' Jennifer was talking to Soojin and Jihan about her work place 'She definitely have' the tall girl doll looking said 'In my opinion she doesn't, maybe it's your impression, try seeing it from another prospective or better talk to her, maybe it was just a misunderstanding' the shortest of the trio replied to the student's president 'Jihan, if you keep up this good view of everyone, it could get you in trouble' she took a sip from her orange juice.
It was lunch time and the girls were having their meals in the caffetteria, when suddenly Soojin's phone vibrated. She immediately picked it up and started texting 'Who is it?' one of the two asked, noticing her quickness in responding. 'Oh, no one, just this guy I've been talking to, he's quite nice and we get along well' as Jennifer wasn't paying much attention, she didn't notice what they were talking about.
Soon it was time to go back to classes. She decided to talk to Yoona that week and see if something changed. 'Okay class, open the book at page 89-' time passed pretty fast and the next thing she knew, she was walking in the streets, home from school.
She sat down on her couch after dropping the keys on the entrance door shelf. For many having a co-worker that disliked you wasn't such a big deal, but for Jennifer that had a troublesome life, it was. She was starting a new life, leaving the past aside for now and didn't want to have any enemy yet, but we all know it's impossible to be liked by everyone.
For dinner she didn't thought much about what she was going to eat. The next day it was working day and she couldn't have been more anticipating that day, going back to work and sort things out.
After giving it some thought , she decided to do a home made home made for dinner, but upon checking her the fridge, there were some ingredients missing, so she decided on going groceries shopping. She grabbed her coat, scarf and went outside. Better to prevent than to cure, and besides, if she had fallen sick, she would have to take care of herself, as she didn't have someone to do that task for her.
As she stepped outside, she was greeted by a cold breeze that hit her face. We were almost in winter, and as expected autumn was not hot like some wanted. The first thing she needed were vegetables, as she wanted to cook japgae, a traditional dish she hadn't had in a while. 'Okay, I need some mushrooms and then-' while picking the ingredients, she noticed a couple entering the shop, it was Soojin, with a handsome and really tall guy.
'Was she on a date?' Jennifer immediately turn to the other side, and lowered her head, as they passed next to her while giggling. After making sure they weren't there anymore, she hurriedly took the last things that were missing from her cart, paid and left the store. She didn't want her friend to see her there and interrupt their appointment, but the next day, she would have definitely asked her more about it.
The next day
Walking to school was already a routine for the girl, she remembered very well the road, and was hard for her to not, but that morning she decided on taking the bus, to arrive even earlier. The stop was not that far from her house, and she didn't have to wait for too long under the freezing cold, as the bus came right in time.
'Bip' she passed her ticket. The bus wasn't that full, and she was able to find a seat faster than she thought. 'Nice' she whispered, as the bus was warmer that the outside. She then took a look at her mp3 to choose the right playlist, but as she was about to press the play bottom, she heard commotion coming from some passenger that entered the bus.
Jennifer turned around slightly, to see what was happening, a man took the seat reserved for elderly people, and as she asked for him to get up, he refused.
She waited a few seconds before doing something, to see if anything would have change, but the man was stubborn. She sighed heavily, remembering why she always went with legs to school, then she got up and offered her sit to the woman. At first she refused profusely, but after seeing her reassuring smile, she gave in 'Oh thank you dear, you are such an angel, unlike some people' the old lady smiled back and sat down after thanking her one more time.
It was the first time she was ever called something nice by older people, so the compliment kinda made her happy.Jennifer shook her head, unable to understand how there were this kind of people outside, that could be openly rude, knowing fully well that in their culture it was highly disrespectful to disrespect elders; but as she was taking her bag, the bus made a sharp turn and she stumbled on the person standing behind her, or almost fell on him.
She immediately bowed apologising, and as she raised her head, she realized only after she had already bumped into them that it was a tall, attractive young man. His raven-black hair was nicely arranged and combed, and he had dark, captivating eyes that seemed to draw her in.
She expected the guy to accept her apology, but she was caught her by surprise, when he replied rudely. 'Are you blind?' The guy spat fire. She then apologized to him, one more time, maybe to make sure her ears heard right, but he was already in a very sour mood and instead gave her an angry stare. 'I'm really sorry-' she bowed. 'Come on Sunghoon-ah, she didn't do it purposely' next to him stood another boy, slightly shorter, with a mischievous glint in his darker eyes.
He had wavy dark hair that fell just below his ears, and a wide, charming smile and was tried to calm down his friend. 'Sorry for his behavior, it's one of his bad days' he smiled apologetically. 'Why apologising? She was the one who did something wrong here' the rude guy said glaring at her, with a sense of superiority.
Just then, Jennifer noticed that they were wearing the uniform of her university 'By the way, I'm Shim Jaehyun, but I go by Jake my first name, nice to meet you. We are in the same university right?' She simply nodded and introduced herself too. 'Moon Jennifer, is nice to meet you two'
Then Jake, pushed his friend to introduce his self, which he rolled his eyes to 'You've already heard him say it...' The golden retriever looking guys shook his head 'He's Park Sunghoon'
