The next morning, I wake up with a blanket wrapped around me and sit up slowly. As I look around the room, I realize I slept at Shawn's last night. I look to my left and see Shawn lying on the floor, a small pillow under his head and his eyes closed shut.
"Shawn. Pst! Shawn." I nudge his back softly with my foot and watch his eyes flutter open. "What the hell are you doing down there?"
"I can't sleep in the same bed as you. I wouldn't be able to keep my hands to myself." I nod in understanding and pat the space next to me.
"Come sit with me." I say with a small smile on my face. Shawn chuckles at my antics and crawls over to me, sitting next to me. I then rest my head on his shoulder, closing my eyes. "What happened last night?"
"Well you were gonna go back home and I wouldn't let you so I basically held you down until you fell asleep. Then I didn't want to be a douche and invade your comfort zone so I slept on the floor." Shawn says with a soft chuckle and wraps an arm around my shoulders.
I nod slowly and look up at him, looking into his eyes. "I gotta go."
"Go where?"
"Home. I'm gonna go home. I really shouldn't have barged in on you like that anyway."
"Mia, don't-" he says as I'm standing up.
"No, Shawn. Seriously I have stuff to do."
"Like what? Sit on your roof and get high?"
"Maybe."
"Can I come with you?" As Shawn says those words, everything that could go wrong is running through my head.
"Ah, I don't know. You know what? Yeah. Sure. Let's go."
"Wait. You're letting me come with you? Without persuasion of any kind?"
"Yeah. We're gonna sit on my roof and drink and smoke and let's go already."
"You know the term 'ride or die?'"
"Yeah."
"I'm gonna start calling you that."
"No."
"Yeah."
"Fine. I don't care."
"You're my ride or die. You love it."
"Shut the fūck up."

Omg I love this chapter so much. I was proof-reading it just now and ugh, it's definitely one of favorites. I love Mia so much. She's just too good. Anyyyyway, you guys. I'm like 50 reads away from 500. Which is huge because this is the first fanfic I've ever actually stuck with. I'm so excited. You guys are so awesome. Write me some comments and vote so I know if you're truly amazing or not. (So tempted to say or nah. #restraint)
