There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.
- Albert Einstein

As I walk down the empty hallway, I think to myself about maybe getting high tonight. I need some time to myself after being in this hell hole all day.
I stop walking when I come across my locker and shove my books inside. When I'm done, I close my locker door and run through the empty halls, trying to get out of here as quickly as possible.
I slow to a jog as I turn the corner and stop fully. At the end of the hallway is a tall, brown-eyed boy. I don't know who he is, but he's kind of muscular. He's staring at me. As I walk out the front doors, I hear footsteps behind me. The boy catches up to me.
I look up at him, studying his facial structure and his pretty eyes. "Can I help you?" I say sarcastically.
He thinks for a few seconds and looks down at me. "No. But I can help you."
I raise my brow questioningly and roll my eyes. He laughs and puts his arm around me. I immediately shrug it off. "I can help you not be alone. It's not safe for a girl your size to be out on the street alone."
I'm almost taken back by his words. "I can handle myself. I'm more badass than I look."
"Okay, babe. I'm walking you home."
