Denis, Alex, and Sub walked in together
The prom was crowded with teens
"Alright I'm gonna go get a drink, you guys want anything"
Denis asked
Alex and Sub both nodded, Denis left the two and went to the refreshment table.
He stopped and saw Sketch
Denis felt nervous and approached him, fixing his tie, him and Sketch looked at each other
Sketch was about to say something until Denis hugged him
Sketch was taken back and slowly hugged him
"Look, I know we're not good friends anymore, but I hope you know I really missed you, and I'm sorry"
Denis mumbled,
Sketch smiled and hugged him back
"Yeah it good seeing you again..so were is Flamingo?"
"Oh! He's not coming"
Sketch felt piss and broke the hug
"What!? He ditched you!"
Denis laughed and shook his head
"Nah nothing like that, we just decided not to go"
Sketch smiled and just chuckled
"Guess you can't show off your matching outfit" He teased,
Denis just frown and blushed
"Hey! Matching outfits aren't that bad"
Sketch rolled his eyes and looked around the room before he spotted Alex
"Hey imma hang out with Alex I'll talk to you later"
Denis just waved him goodbye and continue heading toward the table
He poured himself a cup of punch and drank it, he pour another cup and turned around
Corl was there, holding a cup
"Oh hey Denis"
"Hey"
They both stood in silence,
Corl took a sip of his drink and glance at him
"I'm glad your here, I didn't think you would show"
"Well, I wanted to"
Denis smiled
Corl chuckled and put down his cup
"What happened with Flamingo?"
Denis poured himself another drink
"We decided not to go together, I wanted to catch up with my friends" Denis said
Corl was surprised
"Oh wow, well I'm glad, it been awhile since you talked to Sketch, Alex, and Sub"
Corl said,
Denis nodded and finished his drink
"Yeah, well it nice catching up with you, but imma go find a bathroom because geez...I have to go really bad" Corl ran past Denis
He stood there looking around and felt someone tap his shoulder
"Hey excuse me, your hogging the drink"
Denis turned around and a guy with blue collar shirt was standing there
"Oh uh- Sorry" Denis backed up a bit
"It fine..." the guy pour himself a drink,
Denis looked at him and recognized him
"Hey aren't you Jake! Didn't you go to detention for
trying to burn the school"
Jake giggle and looked back at Denis
"That was hilarious, but yeah"
Denis smiled
"Well I'm Denis"
Jake sip his drink
"Yeah I know you, your in my 5th period"
Denis smiled and was about to say something
"Denis!! Hey! I've been looking for you"
Sketch came and grabbed Denis,
Denis felt confused
"Come on I have something to tell you!"
They both walked toward the table and sat down
"What's up"
Sketch smiled
"Okay so..I'm going to be moving soon! And I'm throwing a goodbye party"
Denis sat there and looked down
"Really..."
"Yeah! It going to be great and you should come"
Sketch suggested
"Sure...um what date"
"Tomorrow"
"Alright!"
They sat there in silence
"So your actually moving"
Sketch nodded
"Don't worry I'll visit on the weekend"
Denis smile
"Cool, well let's head back to the dance floor"
They both stood up and walked toward the dance floor,
Alex and Sub was dancing and having fun, Denis joined them,
Denis and Sub was dancing together, and Sketch danced with Alex,
The four friends were together again, he felt like it was going to end soon, he wasn't sure why but he felt it, like everything was going to disappear.
The song ended and Denis sat down,
He was exhausted
"Hey guys, imma go get some fresh air"
They all nodded and went back to dancing,
He headed towards the exit and went outside,
Denis took a deep breath and looked at the sky
He saw a nearby bench and sat down
"I hope your okay Flamingo..."

Flamingo and Jake panted and shut the door quick, they finally arrived at the lab and there was so many zombies they had to fight, He was surprised they didn't get bitten
Flamingo and Jake walked into the building and found a room with a chair,
Flamingo and Jake walked inside the room and started setting up everything
Jake set the box on the floor and unboxed it, He grab the needle and looked at Flamingo
"Alright we get the cure and we're out"
Flamingo nodded and started to search the lab for any clues.
They spent an hour and a half and Flamingo still couldn't find anything
"Fuck!! Where the fuck is it"
Flamingo shouted
"Relax, maybe it in another lab"
Jake suggested
Flamingo shook his head
"I don't have time to look for It in another lab! Jake I have to go back to the universe and see Denis"
Jake got up and push Flamingo aside
"Let focus on the cure, instead of some stupid universe"
Jake mumbled
Flamingo glared at him and was about to say something,
The room started rumbling
"What was that!"
Flamingo yelled,
There was a loud crash and zombies started rushing inside the room
"Shit!"
They grabbed their gun and started to shoot the zombie
"Fuck, there's too many"
Jake was shooting them down one by one,
A zombie grab Jake and bite him, he yelled and he pulled out his gun and shot the zombie
He collapse and panted,
He look down at his arm, the room was silent and the only thing you could hear was panting
"Flamingo- SHIT" Jake bit his lip feeling blood spill out his arm
Flamingo ran towards Jake and help him
"Oh god oh god, Jake fuck!!"
Jake panted and tried to take his jacket off
"It going to be alright, shit- hold on"
Flamingo grab his gun and started to panick
"Jake wait- I have an idea"
Jake saw him pulled out a knife and felt his heard drop
"Fu- okay okay...Flamingo just cut it off quick okay?"
Flamingo nodded feeling his hand shake,
He put the knife on Jake arm and cut it off,
Jake screamed and panted, he wrapped a cloth around his arm.
Flamingo grabbed his bag and started putting everything in
"Flamingo hurry" he wince
Flamingo grab the box and put it in his bag
"Okay let go..." He grabbed Jake and helped him stand still
They head out the building and got
On their horse, Flamingo glances at Jake once in a while to make sure he was okay

They arrived back at their lab and Flamingo sat Jake on the bed, He covered him with the blanket and made sure he was asleep
He went into the storage room and grabbed a glass of water,
Flamingo walked back and placed the water next to Jake
"Hey...how you feeling"
Flamingo whispered,
Jake was sweating and was holding the blanket close to him
"Flamingo-I- my arm it- you cut it off" Jake gasped remembering what happened
Flamingo just looked at him feeling worried
"Jake it okay..your okay"
Flamingo whispered,
Jake nodded and laid his head on the pillow
"Hey I'm sorry I wasn't able to help"
Flamingo apologized,
Jake closed his eyes and didn't respond,
Flamingo didn't say anything else,
He stood up and went to his room
Flamingo lay in bed and stare at the ceiling
He saved Jake....but he didn't save Denis, he cursed and mumbled feeling angry
He could've save Denis but he didn't,
Flamingo was mad at himself, he should have known there were zombies nearby, He should have check if the lab was safe, he should have done more, he should have.
He groaned and punched his wall
Flamingo got up and walked towards the portal,
He needed a break

Flamingo looked around and realized he was in the park, it was nighttime
"Hey"
He heard someone call
He turned around and saw Denis
Denis was sitting on the bench
"Hey"
Flamingo went and sat down next to him,
"What are you doing here?"
Flamingo asked
Denis looked tired and yawn
"Nothing prom ended a minute ago"
Flamingo felt Denis lay his head on his shoulder
"Did you had a good time?"
Denis hummed
"It was fun, me and Sketch talk, he's leaving though"
Denis explained
Flamingo didn't respond
"You should go home"
Denis laughed
"You sound like my mom"
"Denis"
"Why did you left"
Flamingo tense
"I told you already...I wanted you to hang out with your friend" Flamingo felt Denis move closer to
him,
Denis just sighed and sat up
"Yeah, but we were going to show off our outfits, you told me we were going to wear it"
Denis murmured,
Flamingo looked down feeling guilty
"It didn't feel right wearing it without you"
Flamingo tired to think of a way to make it up to him
"How about...we have a picnic here at the park"
Denis looked at Flamingo and smiled

"I can't...Sketch is throwing a goodbye party tomorrow" He whispered and looked the sky

"Oh"
It was quiet, they both sat there waiting for something to happen
"I miss you"
Denis finally spoke up,
Flamingo look at him and felt his heart sink
"I miss you too"
They both stayed silent,
Denis leaned his head on Flamingo arm
"Flamingo"
"Yeah"
Denis frowned
"Are you okay?"
Flamingo jumped at the sudden question
"Of course I'm fine!"
Denis didn't look convinced
"It just....you have eye bags and you always look exhausted like if you had an argument with someone" Denis locked eyes with Flamingo
Flamingo looked away
"Yeah I'm okay, I guess I haven't been getting a lot of sleep"
Denis felt worried for him, he lock hands with Flamingo and frown

Flamingo looked at him and saw how beautiful Denis was,
His messy hair, his smile, and his brown eyes, Flamingo felt a lump in his throat
"Denis"
Denis felt his heart flutter, he wanted to be by his side, Flamingo was the only person who understood him
"Yeah"
Denis responded
"I love you"
"I love you too"
They both felt their heart beating fast,
They lean in and kiss each other
It felt like hours, They finally broke the kiss and smiled
"Heh...holy shit wow!" Flamingo country accent kicked in,
Denis laugh and felt his face heat up
"Yeah! Holy shit!"
They both laughed and felt happiness
"Flamingo...are you happy?"
"Huh? What you mean"
Denis sighed and look at him
"You know- with us"
"Of course I am!"
Denis smiled and hugged him before getting up
"Well I should head back home"
Flamingo smiled and got up
"Oh yeah I'll see you tomorrow at school"
Flamingo said leaning in to kiss Denis on the cheek
Denis nodded and waved goodbye,
Flamingo watch Denis from the distance and frown
"Shit! Shit! What the hell did I do!? What am I going to tell Jake now"  he shouted
