Denis slept in bed snoring, but soon his sleep was interrupted by his alarm telling him to get ready for school. Denis got up and groaned, he was tired and nervous for his first day of high school, and his body was feeling the strain from yesterday's long journey from the other side of the state.
The whole moving process had been difficult. He had to go with his parents to their new house in the outskirts of some town on the other side of the state where he now has to call home. He missed his old town but he needed to suck it up and get ready for school, he got his clothes ready and took a warm shower.
He was nervous, what if he embarrassed himself or say something cringey! Denis whine at the thought of tripping in front of people. He quickly got dress and walked downstairs.
"Oh honey!" He heard his mother say, "Good morning sweetie! Are you ready for your first day?"
"Yeah," Denis answered nervously.
Denis got his backpack and went to hug his mom
"I'll see you after school mom" Denis smile
His mom pat his head and went back on her phone,
He left the house and was on his way to school, each step he took made him felt dizzy and anxious.
He gripped his shirt and thought of positive things instead of bad things that could happen to him any second.
He made it to the front gates of the school and was amazed by the size, He never went to a school this big! He walked into the building and tried his best to find his classroom, his anxiety was through the roof, but he tried to focus on the task at hand, he looked around the school and was lost he had no idea where he was right now, Denis felt someone tapped his shoulder and turn around to see someone around his age,
He had bangs covering his eyes, his hair was brown and had green highlights which were lime colored, he had little pimples on his check and had braces.
Denis tilt his head and noticed his knitted shirt was grey with a robot saying "beep boop".
Denis was confused but he knew that he had to find his class room so he ask the guy in front of him
"Umm do you know where room 120 is? I can't find my class" Denis asked
The guy smiled at him, and pulled out his notebook to write something down. Denis looked at him curious observing his actions, the guy showed him his notebook
"Yes of course it up two floors to the left, my
name is Sub" was written down
Denis smile and nodded
"my name is Denis nice to meet you! Thanks by the way I was really lost" Denis explained
Sub nodded and wrote something down, Denis wait patiently and Sub showed him his notebook again,
"You're welcome Denis, I was lost on my first day too so I wanted to help! :)" was written,
Denis was amazed at how fast Sub could write. He then heard the bell rang and Sub quickly wrote something down and show him his notebook,
"It was nice meeting you Denis! Good luck today, we can be friends if you like that is, my friends and I are always happy to have a new member to our group" Denis smiled and felt his heart flutter
"I would love too! Thanks" Denis waved and walked to his class, He hope he can see him at lunch.
Denis finally got to his class, relief, he sat down in the back row next to the window. He saw other students come in and sat next to their friends,
