A/N: Right, let me clear some things. I'm getting pretty tired of writing Vol. 2 and the majority of Vol. 3, so let's skip to the battle of Beacon. Everything during this big timeskip remained the same, with no major event changes. If you need any more info or questions, I'll be glad to answer them.

[Beacon Academy, Vale / Night]

Velimir: Board the ships people! Come on! It is a matter of time now!

Velimir was escorting the students to a safe place when Vlad came up to him. He turned around to face Vlad.

Vlad: I guess it is time to part ways.

Velimir: Who knows, maybe we'll meet again, brother. Going back to Atlas?

Vlad: Yup. Need to escort the Schnee girl. C'mere.

Vlad pulled him into a hug which Velimir returned.

Vlad: *Let's go of him* Good luck. And remember, if you need to die, then do so in glory.

Velimir: I know. Now get going. Godspeed.

He patted Vlad's shoulder before heading to the battle and Vlad boarded a ship.
With a cigarette in his mouth Velimir saw the academy in ruins and the city beyond, a fight was happening on top of the Beacon Tower, and he heard from Jaune that Pyrrha was fighting against the fall maiden so he made a quick decision - he summoned Jan.

Jan: What is it?

Velimir: You heard of the fall maiden?

Jan: Yeah?

Velimir points at the tower.

Velimir: I need you to protect a student from her, while I hold the grimm off.

Jan: You are but one-

Velimir: The Heavenly Father is with me. And He shall protect me.

He was quiet, taken aback by Velimir's attitude.

Velimir: I've got nothing to lose kid, I've lived a long and fruitful life. Live or die, we shall see. I will stand my ground to protect these students from these vile beasts. Destroying evil is our most holy obligation.

Jan: You got me there, I'll do my best.

Jan left for the tower in a hurry. Velimir stood where he was and smoked until his last drag, throwing what was left of the cig down. Upon hearing the horde coming he pulled his Nitro.

Velimir: God, grant me strength.

[Meanwhile with Jan]

He looked up at the tower, wondering how he could make his way up. An idea popped up in his head, he tied some rope on the end of an arrow, and with his bow, he shot the arrow at the wall of the tower and started to ascend.

By the time he arrived, he saw Pyrrha kneeling, seemingly injured, and Cinder aiming her bow at her, without a second thought he lunged at Cinder tackling her down to the ground.

Cinder: What the?!

He quickly silenced her with a punch to the face and then another before being pushed off with a fireball. He went to check up on Pyrrha.

Jan: You good?

Pyrrha: I-I guess...

Cinder stood up, looking clearly pissed and in shock.

Jan: Stay here, I need to deal with her.

Jan walked circles around Cinder with a sword in hand, awaiting her first blow.

Jan: So you are the fall maiden?

Cinder: ...

Jan: Should've guessed you're not much of a talker.

Cinder: I'll give you a chance to get out alive. Let me-

Jan: Shut the fuck up, harlot.

Cinder: Huh?

She was getting more and more angry while Jan was grinning under his face mask. Cinder quickly shot an arrow at him, the arrows seemed to have no effect on him even though some pierced through his armor. Cinder took a step back while he was slowly approaching her.

Cinder: How-?!

Jan: Pain is everlasting, suffering is optional.

His palm started to glow bright white and extended it as SCP-049 would in SCP: CB.

Cinder: Let's be reasonable now!

Jan: Sometimes reasonable men need to do unreasonable things.

He placed his palm on her face, Cinder's surroundings became dark, and the only thing she could see was Jan.

Jan: Obey me!

Jan said calmly. Cinder knelt down, her eyes widened and glowing. He took out a small branding iron in an X-shape and placed it over her left eye, branding her face and marking her, she was in his domain now. She screamed in pain.

Jan: You are powerless...

Cinder: NO!

As soon as he let go she fell to the ground and held her eye and moaned in pain. Jan went to tend to Pyrrha. She was not gravely injured so she'll be good. He placed her hand over his shoulder and helped her walk with him.

[With Velimir]

He was tired, drenched in blood and sweat, and angry. He was using his service pistol in one hand while holding a flare in the other trying to scare off some grimm to keep the distance.

Velimir: C'mon! You want me so bad?! Come and get me then!

Shots rang out and another grimm was dead, at the cost of running dry on ammo.

Velimir: Shit...

He collapsed down on his side and was met with a Beowulf to his face. Before it could do anything, a bullet went through its skull. Velimir slowly looked in the direction where the shot came from, he breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing who it was.

Milos: It is not done yet, brother!

He picked Velimir up to his feet and gave him some water and ammo.

Velimir: Thanks, mate...

Milos: No problem.

Velimir: Did the-

Milos: The students were safely evacuated.

Velimir: Good...

The hordes disappeared, it was peaceful for now. They looked at the new dawn rising, a beautiful sight.

Velimir: This is no ordinary infestation. This is war...

Milos: I know. Where to?

Velimir: I don't know. I'll probably go to Menagerie. You?

Milos: Atlas.

Velimir: We'll probably meet again. For now, I need some rest.

He sat down on the pavement and lay on his back, looking at the sky.

Velimir: Damn anyone who put us here.

He closed his eye and drifted to sleep.

Milos: Rest now warrior. You'll need it.

Milos lit a cigarette and was guarding Velimir until he smoked enough.
