The World and It's Beauty

Us guys, the trio, went out to see the bird that I had excitedly mentioned to Skyve on Friday. It was a beautiful, picturesque bird, its wings the perfect size for its short, stubby body. It had a chunky build and its colour seemed to change as it glided so elegantly through the air. Oh how I wished I was a bird, how much simpler would life have been?

Impatiently, I whipped my camera out of my side satchel and zoomed in on the spectacle of the bird race. Just as I took my shot, he fluttered his wings so gracefully, like he was truly at ease with his simple, short life. Even through the ups and downs, in the past I had always tried to remain optimistic. When I was younger, I was gifted an old panorama camera by my godmother, a hand me down from relatives long passed. She said I would put it to more use than she ever would.

For my peace of mind, I would spend hours outside, basking in the day's sunlight, admiring the true beauty of our world and how fortunate we were to live in such a blessed place. I adored getting close to wildlife, going about their daily lives, and taking pictures of animals so I could say someday that I was of use. That my talent, my hobby, was taking pictures of the innocent animals that inhabited the neighbouring forest near the coast. I was able to gather their picture and capture their essence before they passed like everything on this planet.

We really are lucky that we were put on this Earth, but one day, we, as a single person, will leave it all behind, never to witness the beauty of it all again. I decided I wanted to cherish my time in this grove of trees, bugs, plants, animals, and so much more. I was going to create photos of these animals that may not be around in the future so the next generation's youth could see for themselves what a sight the complex world of animal life was.

Our day of school work ended like every other, we worked hard and paid attention. At the end of school everyday, our friendship triangle regrouped at the front entrance to say our farewells for the night before making our way back home. I didn't go back to my official home much, because that wasn't where I was the most joyous. My place, my home away from my real home, was Skyve's house.

Past the ridiculously huge doors of the mansion, me and Skyve led on his bed. I practically jumped up and he sat up too.
It was now or never..
