His hands were shaking and his breath hitched. Signals went through, but no one picked up. Fuck. He is too late, she doesn't want to talk to him anymore. Shit. No, no this can't happen. She was his soulmate. He couldn't lose her. And here come the tears again. His entire body was shaking, he gasped for air. This wasn't happening. He had fucked up so badly. He had lost the love of his life because of him being petty. Why? Why didn't he listen to her from the beginning? Now he couldn't breathe, he sat on his floor, gasping for air. He tried to calm himself, but it was impossible. He had experienced panic attacks before, but never like this.

A knock on the door made him jolt slightly, but he couldn't stand up—another knock.
"Lando?" Her voice was weak, but he knew without a doubt that it was her. He tried to gather himself, but he could still not breathe. He managed to get up on his feet, he quickly looked in the mirror. He looked horrible.
"Lando? Are you in there?" He opened the door and there she stood. Elenore.

He didn't say anything, he just collapsed into her arms. He sobbed. Elenore pulled him inside the apartment and closed the door behind them. She sat down on the floor, with him still in her arms.
"Lando breath," she whispered. "You are okay," she caressed his back slowly.
"Ele-" he gasped for air.
"Lando look me in my eyes," she cupped his face, "take a deep breath with me." She took a deep breath and he followed her lead.
"Lando you are okay, I promise you," she looked into his eyes and smiled softly.
"Elenore,"

Elenore continued to hold Lando in her arms, letting the weight of his pain seep into her, as if she could absorb some of it and make it more bearable for him. The room was quiet, except for the sound of their synchronized breathing. In that moment, they were two souls intertwined in a shared struggle, trying to find a way back to the love they once cherished.

The minutes passed in silence, with Elenore offering him comfort in her arms. No words were spoken, yet the weight of their unspoken emotions filled the room. This moment, while overshadowed by the recent turmoil, also held the potential for healing and renewal. Finally, Lando managed to speak, his voice still shaky but more composed than before.
"Elenore, I... I can't believe you're here." Elenore maintained her gentle smile.
"Lando, I came back because I love you, and I don't want us to end like this. We've been through so much together, and I believe we can find a way to overcome this too." His eyes met hers, brimming with gratitude and the promise of change.
"I messed up, Elenore. I let my jealousy and stubbornness drive us apart, and I regret every word I said. I don't want to lose you." Elenore held his gaze and replied,
"Lando, I'm not blameless in all of this either. I should have communicated better, and I'm sorry too. I wish I could go back in time and tell you about all of it, I wish I could have been mature enough to talk to you about it." She whispered softly. Tears welled up in Lando's eyes again, but this time they were tears of relief.
"Elenore, I promise I'll change, I'll be a better person for you. I can't imagine my life without you in it." Elenore pressed a soft kiss to his forehead.
"And I promise to be more open with you, to work on our communication. We'll navigate through the challenges together, as a team." She smiled softly. As she held him in her arms, she felt whole again. Finally, she was reuntied with her love.

"But maybe we should take it slow? Maybe go out on a few dates, keep it on the low. And you know, see where it takes us?" She caressed his cheek.
"That sounds nice," he smiled. "But does that mean I have to ask you out on a date?"
"Oh yeah definitely," she chuckled. "And you better make it good, I will say no if I feel like its necessary." She winked and laugh lightly.
"Can't wait," he said sarcastically trying to hold back a smile. "So not only do I have to ask you out on a date, I have to 'wow' you?"
"Pretty much, yeah." She smiled widely "Good luck," she winked and kissed his forehead.
