Love, four letters, one word, probably the word with the most meaning to it. Love can be perceived in many different ways, to you it may be that your partner holds your hand or maybe that they know your favorite food. For Elenore, it was the fact that whenever Lando was at the supermarket he would always come buy her flowers and candy. And today was no different.

He stepped inside his apartment, seemingly in a fantastic good mood because he was whistling along to the music in his headphones. When he saw Elenore sitting on the couch, writing, his face lit up. He put down the groceries and walked over to her.
"Hello my writer," he smiled and handed her a bouquet of pink peonies, her favorite.
"You remembered," she pouted and looked at him lovingly, "Mon amour you didn't have to."
"But I wanted to," he kissed her forehead, "Oh and I got you those chocolates that you love." He smiled.
"You did not!" She smiled widely, "Lando Norris you are amazing,"
"I know," he winked and unpacked the groceries. "Catch!" He called out and threw the bag of candy at her. Elenore yelped and managed to catch it.
"I would classify that as a murder attempt," she opened the bag and took a piece of candy, plopping it in her mouth.
"Oh my goooood," she moaned and Lando swore to god her eyes rolled back. He looked at her and tried to stifle his laugh.
"Why are you laughing?" Elenore raised her eyebrows at him.
"Oh my god," he imitated her moan, "this is so good," he teased her and sat down beside her.
"I mean seriously darling, I never hear you make those noises when you are with me." He kissed her cheek and plopped one of the candies in his mouth.
"Lando Norris!" Elenore blushed heavily and swatted his arm, "What has gotten into you?"
"Nothing," he shrugged and grabbed her computer, "now what do we have here." He looked at the screen, where Elenore's manuscript for her new book was open.
"Hey give that back!" Elenore grabbed the computer, "you can't read that." She shut it and placed it on the coffee table.
"Why?" He crossed his arms and pouted.
"Because it is still very raw and you know, private." She shrugged.
"Why can't I read it? You know I love your writing."
"Mon amour, I didn't know you could even read." She teased.
"Now that was uncalled for." He knitted his eyebrows together.
"I'm sorry," she giggled and kissed his temple.
"No you aren't," he looked at her.
"Nope," she laughed and grabbed her phone, snapping a picture of him.
"What was that for?"
"You are cute, I'm not allowed to take a picture of my cute situationship?"
"Situationship?" He repeated, "Am I a situation?"
"I mean, yeah?" Elenore looked at him and smiled softly, "Mon amour do you want to be more than that?"
"I thought we already were," he looked at her. "So now I'm offended."
"Oh come on amour," she laughed lightly.
"Nope, I don't forgive you." He said stubbornly.
"Do you want me to ask you to be my boyfriend?" Elenore laughed.
"I mean it wouldn't kill, would it? I asked last time, it's only fair you ask this time." He pouted playfully.
"Okay mon amour," she smiled. "But I want to surprise you,"

A week later, Elenore had planned a date night for the two of them, and since they couldn't go on a 'real' date at a restaurant, without risking being caught by the cameras. She decided to cook him some dinner and make it really romantic. Lando was at a meeting the entire afternoon so she decided to set up roses and candles all over the place. She put on a dress she knew he loved, a beautiful dark green satin slip dress.

When the front door opened she handed him a glass of champagne and kissed his cheek,
"Welcome home mon amour," she smiled.
"Hi darling," he took the glass and smiled. "It smells delicious, what is it?" He headed to the kitchen and saw the flowers and candles.
"I made you your favourite." She smiled and led him to the dining table.
"Darling this is wonderful," he looked around before he sat down opposite her.
"It's the classic, 'penne alla vodka'" She smiled, "I hope you like it"
"Elenore you did all this for me?" He looked at her in awe.
"I'd do anything for you," she whispered softly. Lando's cheeks flushed and he giggled lightly,
"Stop it you are making me blush."

As the night wore on, they found themselves once again, on the balcony. They draped a blanket over the two of them and cuddled up close to each other.
"This night was amazing," Lando whispered as they looked up at the sky.
"It isn't over yet," Elenore smiled and cupped his face. "Mon amour I have a question,"
"And what is that?" He smiled.
"Lando Norris," Elenore began.
"Oh my god this is happening," Lando giggled.
"Shut up, I'm trying to be romantic." Elenore laughed lightly.
"Sorry, go ahead." He winked.
"Lando Norris," Elenore looked deeply into his eyes, "I have never met a person who makes me feel this way. When I'm with you all my worries disappear and I feel so safe. So I want to ask you mon amour, can I be your girlfriend again?" Lando smiled widely and cupped her face.
"I would like that," He pulled her in close until the tip of their noses were touching.
"I'm yours and your mine, and it will forever be that way." He leaned in and kissed her passionately, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her into his lap.
"Oh and Lando?" Elenore pulled away from the kiss.
"Yeah?" He said breathlessly.

"I love you," she whispered with the biggest smile on her face.
