The term 'love is blind' means loving someone makes you unable to see their faults. While the phrase 'love is blindfolded' is a different thing entirely...

"Oh! (Y/N), hello!" Dorothea's tone is pleasantly shrill and matter-of-fact as she clasps her hands together in utter delight.

What was a mere slumber party for kicks after dark turned out to be much more, in the end. I assumed that Dorothea would only invite the girls for a fun chat — you know, just her, Bernie, Petra, and maybe Edelgard if she wasn't busy — so when I saw the crowd that surrounded my dorm after I left class, I was more than surprised.

"Wow. Um... everyone is here." I mumble, but then note that everyone in the Black Eagles really was here, other than Edelgard — she was often too busy to bother either way — and Ferdinand. Otherwise, the entire class came.

"Right!" Caspar jumps to agree, earnestly entering the conversation.

Dorothea offers me a smile after seeing my stunned expression. "You don't mind, right?"

I stare at her, dumbfounded. It was already late, but since I stayed after class to study longer, the twilight sky was a constant reminder of the late time. The sky was already fading out of a startling scarlet hue and into a dark navy starry sky with swirls of clouds and a hint of whimsical nighttime magic.

"No, I don't mind," I answer sheepishly. "But, here, let me open the door. Have you been waiting long?"

"No, no. It took ages to pry dear Bernie out from behind her doors, and even longer to wake up Lin — like you wouldn't believe!" Dorothea explains vividly.

The Black Eagles minus the professor and Edelgard poured in the space startlingly quickly. They sat anywhere there was room, from the bed to my desk's chair to even the floor. Soon, there was hardly space for me to squeeze into the tight space.

Eventually, I settled for the floor, finding a nice patch of carpeted rug to kneel down on. "Alright then!" Dorothea claps her hands to gather the attention of everyone. "Let the sleepover commence!"

"Wait, wait." I pause for a moment, collecting my thoughts. "You're all staying the night?"

"N-not all all!" Bernadetta squeaks, shrinking away from everyone's gazes. "I don't feel comfortable being away from my stuffed bears- I mean, my room for that long."

Hubert nodded as well. "I have things to take care of afterward. In fact, I came here against my will. Dorothea so vigorously insisted that I had no choice but to comply."

"And the others," Dorothea interrupts, "have excuses too. Don't fret, dear!"

"I wasn't that worried." I chuckled slightly, dismissing the thought. "I honestly don't mind if people want to sleep here tonight. There's just not a whole lot of room — just enough for a few others."

Dorothea agrees, "Of course!"

"Are we to be doing any activities?" Petra speaks up, fiddling with her long, long magenta hair that was twisted into an intricate braid that was thrown over her shoulder. "I must admit, this will be my first ever sleeping party. We had no such of the thing in Brigid."
