"Are you alright there?"
My gaze darts to his face, which is smiling down at me. Something about his soft features and bold azure-blue locks struck me as familiar, but it took a moment before his identity clicked in my brain.
Reaching out a hand, he watched me as I snapped back to the moment. I'd bumped into this male who'd yet to introduce himself and now was on the forest floor, trying to figure out who this was in the process of making a fool of myself. "Oh!" I raise my gaze to the man before me, a carefree but sheepish smile appearing on my face as I accept his hand. "Yeah, I'm alright! And you?"
"Hmm, I'm well enough I suppose, but more importantly," His words taper off as his attention seems to be caught by my sudden and infectious grin. I meet his gaze as I dust myself off and regain my pride and am met with an intense stare as if he was trying to peer into my very soul.
"Is something the matter?" I asked, puzzled as he stared intently at me with a sudden spark of curiosity.
The male suddenly snaps out of his trance-like state, and he clears his throat, a slight blush creeping up his cheeks. "Oh! Erm, it's nothing." He says, somewhat sheepish.
"If you say so." I shrugged, smiling cheerily in response. Was this really who I thought it was? Prince Marth?
"So, what are you doing around here anyway?"
I blink. "Around here? Oh, a nice stroll, that's all. Getting a break from noble duties. I assume you're doing the same but with your prince's position?"
"Well yes, you can say that." He replies, the edges of his lips curling up into a small smile."So are you a noble yourself then?"
"Yep. And you're the prince, Marth, no?" I ask, eager to confirm my suspicions.
"Yeah, you got me." He admits, nodding his head. His expression becomes more neutral, and amid the conversation, it somehow feels as if time has slowed down for us. A bit of embarrassment grows clear on his face as he attempts to find the proper words.
I nod, in turn, internally pleased that my wild guesses were indeed correct. "Yes, I assumed as much. Anywho, my name is (Y/N)."
Marth raises his eyebrows as a pleasant smile forms on his face."Yes, I'm glad we got off to such a nice start already. Hmm..." The King's expression slowly changes from a smile to a more thoughtful look. "By any chance, do you also happen to wield a sword?"
"Yes. Why do you ask?"
His expression sharpens as his eyes narrow into a piercing gaze once again, but he doesn't seem angry. "A sword-wielding noble, I see... That's rare these days."
Marth's tone shifts slightly, and the Altean Royal smiles thoughtfully, but something about me appears to catch his attention once more, but I can't figure out why. My lips curve into a bright smile again regardless and I wait for him to continue.
"So, do you have any other hobbies other than sword fighting?" He asks after a moment, although with the solemn look on his face, I thought he had more on his mind than idle chatter to fill time.
"Oh, well... uh, I've begun to start drawing and I think I may have a knack for it," I note, placing a finger on my chin. I had many other pursuits, and plenty of activities at my disposal as a noble's child and all that. But a recent thing I picked up was testing my skills with paper and pen.
The prince's eyebrows raise, and his eyes widen slightly as if he's intrigued. "Oh?" He asks, his voice conveying his interest. "And what are the subjects of your drawings?"
