After its inceptions following Operation Stardust, the Titans deployed many high-performance mobile suits of their own designs such as the GM Quel. The Pale Rider DII was one of those mobile suits, being an upgrade over the Pale Rider Cavalry.
By U.C. 0087, more Pale Rider DII had been manufactured for the Titans. Three units were assigned to the mobile suit squad stationed onboard the Pegasus-class assault landing ship Hecate. This particular unit was stationed at Green Noa 1 along with 3 RX-178 Gundam MK II units. It was intended to be Jerid Messa's unit, but it was hijacked by the AEUG before he could pilot it. Because, honestly, fuck Jerid.
