Viktor had his eyes covered with the tsunami of tears that flowed from his eyes when Lukotico, his brother, jumped into the portal. After his departure, Viktor felt lonely in that world, with no one to talk to, share his sorrows, problems, or concerns with. He now had to settle for sharing all his problems with his Orca fish. Viktor wore a robe that represented his wealth in the kingdom, although nothing he bought could keep the idea that Lukotico was no longer with him out of his mind. His life was very boring to him; his daily routine consisted of waking up at the third sun, going to class until the ninth sun, leaving him little time to enjoy his free time. Viktor was aware that, as an Antler, he was immortal, timeless. Viktor was envious of his brother for being able to go to a strange and different world for him, experiencing real adventures, breaking the routine, something he loved, even though he had been asking his father if he could accompany his brother to the other world, his father had rejected the request. That morning, I woke up on the fifth sun, which was a setback because I always tried to sleep in as much as possible, but that morning I overslept. I had been dreaming about crossing the portal to visit and see what that world was like. I was very curious that the Samiz could have the freedom to do nothing, something unthinkable for us. I woke up from my cryosleep and went to feed Orca. My mother, Tanaria, always asked me why I only wanted one fish and not several. I always replied that Orca was special to me, and I didn't want to divide my love for Orca with other fish. After feeding Orca, I went to the wardrobe, picked up my school uniform, a yellow shirt and a tight yellow jacket with the school logo on it, black pants, and black express boots.
Before getting dressed, I called a domestic robot to bring me breakfast. Then, I put on my clothes, said goodbye to my parents, and left the house. Outside, my best friend Lua was waiting for me, a tall, dark-haired, beautiful, and very intelligent girl. She greeted me as soon as she saw me.— Viktor, come on, we're going to be very late! — Lua shouted.
— Don't worry, it's my turn with Miss Ka, I'm her favorite, and she'll let us into class. — I said calmly.
— I hope so. By the way, I heard about your brother. How are you holding up? — Lua asked.
— Well, it was a huge downer because Lukotico always helped me with everything, but I'm trying to cope as best as I can. Changing the subject, do you have any plans for this weekend? — I asked.
— My parents and I are going to visit my grandma on Saturday, but we can meet on Sunday. We can go to the restaurant I mentioned the other day. — Lua suggested.
— I'll check with Orca, but I think I can make it. — I confirmed.
— Orca? — she said, surprised.
— He's my fish. Lately, he's been getting quite jealous if I don't give him enough attention. — I said with a playful voice.
Lua laughed at the explanation, and they finally arrived at the school, a huge building, blue and white, with a sign that read "Fifth Power School." It was a private school where only people with creative intelligence attended. In the first hour, I had an ethics class. The teacher, Miss Ka, was very nice, and her classes were very enjoyable. Even though we arrived several minutes late, she didn't punish us like other teachers would have. Ethics was a subject where I always scored the highest, and Lukotico helped me study whenever he could. I sat in my cubicle in the fourth row, and Lua sat in the cubicle next to mine.
The cubicle was a two-square-meter box, completely transparent, equipped with a speaker where the teacher's voice was played, a transparent screen on the wall facing the teacher, and a desk. Each subject had its own customized cubicles.
The next class was on creativity and innovation, taught by Mr. Agut. In that class, Lukotico was always the star student, and I tried to pass as best I could. My creativity was always focused on games, jokes, and unfortunately, Mr. Agut never liked my inventions. I got up from my desk and went to Lua's cubicle to ask her a question.
— Lua, what's the next class? — I asked.
— You've been in school for three months, and you still don't know the schedule. It doesn't matter. Afterward, there's the invention design, I suppose you already have the model of your invention ready, don't you? — Lua asked.
— No, I forgot it — I said.
— Again? — she said with a tired voice.
— It's just that with the Lukotico thing, I completely lost my mind. I hope it serves as an excuse. — I said as a solution.
