The BAU team was called to a new case that took them to a remote small town. The investigation promised to be complex and the team had a lot of work to do. Because the town was so small, there was limited accommodation and agents had to share rooms.
Penelope and Derek Morgan shared a room, as did Hotch and Rossi. JJ and Spencer found themselves in a room together. This unexpected room layout made Spencer nervous because he had still kept his feelings for JJ to himself.
As they sat down on their beds, Spencer tried to cover his excitement by jokingly saying, "Well, JJ, seems like we'll be roommates for a while."
JJ smiled and agreed. "Yeah, it looks like it, Spencer. I hope you're not snoring."
Spencer laughed lightly, although he was still nervous inside. "Oh, don't worry, I'm a quiet sleeper."
After they got ready for the night, Spencer decided to go to the lobby and sit in front of the TV. The excitement and the fact that he was going to be in the same room with JJ all night made it difficult for him to sleep. So he hoped to distract himself with distraction.
He sat down in a comfortable armchair in the lobby and turned on the television. Thoughts of JJ kept haunting him and he found it difficult to concentrate on the program. Eventually exhaustion overcame him and he fell asleep in front of the television.
As he slept in his chair, he tried to sort out his turbulent emotions and prepare himself for the difficult work that awaited him the next day.
