It was Spencer's birthday and the team had decided to organize a small celebration. In one of the motel rooms, they had prepared cakes, gifts and balloons to celebrate this special day. The celebration was a welcome distraction from the BAU team's hard work.
In a quiet corner of the room, Spencer was chatting with Jason Gideon, who, to Spencer's surprise, had also come to the celebration. The two men talked about the cases they had solved in the past and shared memories.
Suddenly they heard JJ calling Spencer's name. "Spencer, come and eat cake!"
Spencer turned to Jason and smiled slightly. "Excuse me for a moment, Jason."
He walked over to JJ and the rest of the team who were waiting for him with a birthday cake. JJ smiled and handed him a piece of cake. "Here, Spence, this is for you."
Spencer took the piece of cake and looked at JJ gratefully. "Thanks, JJ."
While he was eating cake, he couldn't help but notice JJ talking to him in a special way. "Thanks, Spence." She was the only one on the team who called him that, and it meant a lot to him.
After enjoying the piece of cake, he turned to Jason, who was still standing in the corner. "Jason, I love it when JJ calls me 'Spence'. She's the only one who does that."
Jason smiled softly. "It's always special when someone has an affectionate nickname for you. It shows how close your bond is."
Spencer nodded in agreement. "Yes, it's something that only exists between the two of us."
The celebration continued, and Spencer felt surrounded and appreciated by his BAU family that day. And in that moment, he realized that he was not only celebrating his birthday, but also the special bonds and friendships he had created in his life.
