It was a typical weekend, the city was full of life and activity, but one place was truly silent, the detective agency. Everyone had gone home for the night except for Jennifer.  She's been working on that complicated case she and Jungwon accepted, and since that day, she's been staying in the office till late hours, just to find a solution.

It was another busy day and everyone had already left for the night, except Jennifer as she recently did. She had been working for hours and was starting to get exhausted- however, her determination to crack this case kept her going.

'Ugh!' A sigh escaped her lips. 'I have already tried this option' she passed her hand in her hair, as she tried ti concentrate again.

The young lady worked tirelessly, checking and re-checking the evidence they've gathered. She was getting nowhere, and frustration began to creep in as she trying to think of possible scenarios that could be the solution, but nothing really came to mind.

Suddenly, she heard some footsteps echoing in the building, and approaching her, but she was too frustrated to check who was coming. Only when someone sat next to her, she was force to raise her head....

It was Jungwon, who unbeknown to her, had been watching her from the shadows, each day, waiting for the perfect moment to intervene. He wanted to help, but he didn't know better than to simply walk up to her and offer his assistance. And besides he noticed that she was a bit solitary in her work.

She was surprised to see him there. They have never talked to each other, other than the occasionally "good morning" said for courtesy, but even now that they were working on the same thing together, they haven't talk much. Nevertheless, whenever their eyes met, Jennifer felt a strange attraction between them, and she had no idea why. Maybe that's one of the reasons she kept distant other than that being in her nature.

Without saying a word, he took the papers in her front and started reading and re-reading them. After some minutes, he got up and brought some papers from his desk. She was too exhausted to question him on why he was there or ehat he was doing, so she simply watched.

'This two cases have something in common. Take a look' He pointed at some points on two different pages. She took them from his hands and after reading Immidiately slammed her palm in her forehead. 'This could work.' She replied quite surprise she hadn't thought about it.

'I totally missed that.' The joy and surprised was quickly replaced by embarrassment as she shook her, while sarcastically questioning her abilities.
'Am I really the same person that solved that complicated mistery?' Jennifer whispered.
When starting the case, they barely interacted with each other, but in this contexts, she became quickly comfortable.

He stayed by her side for an hour, offering suggestions and ideas on how to proceed. She was grateful, although she couldn't help but wonder why he didn't cone forward before if he had all this things to point out.

After some time passed on working, the two detectives finally figured out the clues and made the connection. 'Oh thank you Jungwon-nim...and sorry if I didn't try solving the case together, I'm not that used to working in group' He stared at her with a little smile, and shook his head 'No problem, and drop the honorifications we should be the same-'

He paused, his eyes turning dark for an instant, but immediately gained his composure back '-we look the same age, so I don't think we have that much of a difference'

'Okay then Jungwon, see you tomorrow' she waved at him, after packing the files in their place, but he stopped her by calling out her name
'Jennifer, wait...I was wondering if you would like me to give you a ride, it's really late and it's too dangerous to walk alone in this streets when outside it's dark'

She didn't even know what was the time, too immersed in the case, so as she checked her phone, and saw what the clock was saying, she gasped. He wasn't wrong. It was almost one in the morning.
Jennifer was hesitant at first, but eventually accepted the offer.

What she didn't expect was for him to pull out a black motorcycle from the shadows of the parking lot, catching her by surprise for the second time that day. She had never been on one before, and now was contemplating if walking home.

'Don't be scared, nothing will happen if you are with me' Jungwon tried to reassur her, while climbing the vehicle, and passing her the helmet with a smile on his face.
'I'm not scared of being with you, it's that thing that I don't trust' She sighed, as she stared at the protective headgear.

'Do you trust me?' He stretch his hand to her. She hesitated, before nodding slowly 'Then you have nothing to worry about'. He seemed so confident and sure of himself. Plus, it was a much faster way to get home than going by legs.

His gaze met hers, that became magnets...the light of the half moon shined on his handsome face, making it look like his eyes were glowing.
For some reason, they were holding her captive. She always noticed that everytime their eyes met, it was hard for her to look away.

Almost drawn by some kind of force, she took his hand, as he help her climb the bike, she then wore the helmet that he previously gave her, and only when he made sure she was ready, he started the engine, a thing that prompted Jennifer, who was trying to not hold him to not make him feel uncomfortable, to qickly slide her hands on his waist from the back, to don't fall.

It was a sudden movement, that later on made her feel a bit awkward.
'Hold on tight' she didn't wait to hear it a second time, and did as he said, as they finally entered the streets.

They drove off into the night, the wind rushing through the strings of her hair left outside by the helmet. As they drove, Jennifer felt closer to Jungwon. She was in awe of his skill on the motorcycle and the way he handled the curves of the roads.

The ride was surprisingly enjoyable. Although the night was dark, she felt safe and secure with Jungwon. It was like all her worries had evaporated with the relaxing and calm view of the city.

For the first time in her life, she sense  a kind of freedom never felt before

When they reached her building, he stopped and helped her get down, before she then removed his helmet.
'Jungwon, once again thank you for your help today and for the ride. Without you I would have not be able to solved the case so quickly' she smiled at him widely, trying to ease his awareness around her. Maybe the reason he didn't come forward earlier with the clues was because Jennifer made herself unapproachable, and she wanted to change it.

He looked deep into her eyes and shook his head 'Anytime. Alone It would have taken me longer, and reach as far as today. After all we are a team.' He looked at her with a small smile.

'Thank you for trusting me, have a goodnight'
and with that, he spun the bike around and drove off into the night, leaving Jennifer standing alone on the sidewalk, her mind still stuck on thhe events of that night.

As she entered the building's door, she looked back one last time where Jungwon disappeared in the night.
The atmosphere around them was purely odd, in the good way, but she was happy that she got to talk to him in more normal circumstances, as the first day they met, wasn't that good of a first impression.

She changed in comfortable clothes, and was too tired to cook dinner, so after a quick shower, she went to bed. As soon as her head touched the pillow, it didn't take long for her to doze off...
