"Maruti!"
His Mother was running behind Him, trying to catch up with His pace.
"Come here! Enough of this!*
She finally managed to catch hold of His tail. She pushed aside the branches of the tree He was sitting on. She grabbed His hand with Her palm and dragged Him along.
"You're growing mischievous day by day. Soon Your Father shall find an appropriate teacher for You who shall set You straight."
She walked along with force, thinking that She was dragging Her son along. But when She found no response from His side, She turned around.
Only to find out that She was holding onto a twig and dragging it along all this while.
Maruti was still sitting atop the tree branch and He laughed as He looked on at His mother who was struggling to keep up with His mischief.
Anjani scoffed and turned Her face away to show Her discontent.
"Oh Mother, please don't be angry." He jumped down at once and hugged Her, trying to please His innocent mother.
Sensing the opportunity to seize Him, She quickly grabbed His hand and tied Her saree end to Him.
Now You're tied to Your Mother's pallu.
With puppy eyes and a baby face, Maruti requested Her to set Him free.
But She was completely determined to ensure that Her beloved son grew up into an epitome of discipline and dedication.

"There is the purpose of Your life."
Lord Shiva had accompanied Maruti and they both were now standing on the banks of the River Sarayu, looking across the kingdom of Ayodhya.
"There, inside that magnificent palace, lives the Prince of Raghu", He said as He pointed towards the balcony which was visible and situated on a great height. "He is the purpose of Your life. Whenever You feel stuck in life, simply meditate on His name for guidance."
Queen Anjani and King Kesari had been great devotees of Lord Shiva, who blessed them with a baby boy. "This boy, shall be an incarnation of My own self, the manifestation of the 11th Rudra." He had stated, pleased by their devotion.
Once when Anjani sat down for Her daily prayers, a bumble bee entered Her ear, as if a sign from the Divine. The bee had eaten some of the same divine pudding that the Queens of King Dashrath had consumed after the yagya.
Soon, She was pregnant with Maruti. Maruti had tried to eat the Sun, thinking that it was a huge fruit. He was stopped by Lord Indra, who accidentally injured Him with His Vajra. But He was revived by the God of Wind, Pawan Dev who gave Him the boon of being invincible and even faster than the wind.
