“Baba, You called Me?”
Rama stepped inside the Shokha Bhawan. The moment He came in, a sense of deep and heavy emotions enveloped Him.
He almost fell drained out from the weight of the energies. It seemed like the aura of the palace needed urgent cleaning.
“Do You feel, what I am feeling, Bhaiya?” Lakshmana inquired, sensing the eerie surroundings.
Rama nodded but kept silent.
“Of course, the wicked Manthara is here”, Lakshmana commented, as He saw Manthara accompanying Queen Kaikeyi, who was rather dressed in wretched clothes and had given up Her royal attire.
“Mother! What happened, why are you dressed like this?” Rama ran towards Her, clearly shocked to see Her state.
Her clothes were tattered and Her hair were unkept. She was not wearing any jewellery; usually She was known for Her obsession with ornaments.
Something was clearly not normal.
“Where is Father?” Shatrughna asked His step mother.
Kaikeyi didn't say a word, but She pointed towards the room inside the palace. Everyone ran at once towards the direction.
They found King Dashratha, sitting on the floor, kneeling down with His face in His hands, and sobbing uncontrollably. His cried could be heard through the echoes of the walls.
Rama rested His hand on His father's shoulder. “Baba, what happened? You can share with Me. Trust Me on this.”
Dashratha looked up at once, recognising His beloved Rama's voice. He immediately took Him in a hug.
“Oh Rama… My Rama…!” He cried inconsolably.

“Rama… Rama… Rama…”
A thick dense forest, probably inhabited by thousands of creatures.
But it seemed that all were deaf to Her pleas. No one seemed to hear a thing. They all had promised to help Her but now that when She needed it the most, no one came up to Her aid.
“Where is Raghunandan? Oh Lord! Please save Me!”
She woke up with a start.
That was such a horrible nightmare!
She saw that She was kidnapped in a huge, flying machine.
How is that possible? It clearly can't be. No one can harm Me. I am the Wife of Shree Rama!
For a minute, She thought if it was actually possible to live in the forests for fourteen long years. She had never been out of Mithila, but within a few months, She had experienced so much in a distant kingdom, and had also become prey to palace politics.
