Sedrik's POV
I open the front door only to find numerous white roses scattered around everywhere. But,one rose seemed to stand out more. The rose was splattered which seemed like red paint.
I got curious about what that red substance was and got closer to inspect it more. To my horror, that substance looked like blood. I felt sick to my stomach with what I found and immediately started looking for my wife.
I ran through the whole house looking for her, opening closets here and there looking for any evidence to confirm she okay. Suddenly,a rose fell in front of me. It fell from the closet in our bedroom.
I slowly open the closet not excepting what is stored there for me to see. I take a peak and roses fall everywhere. The roses seemed to be covering a very familiar figure.
I start tearing up, this can't be my wife, right? I quickly removed the roses dying to figure out who the mysterious figure was, but the answer was already obvious. I manage to get most roses out of the way, revealing a face.
It was her, my wife's unconscious face was in front of me. Her eyes were still open, I could see the fear in them. She was practically naked, she only remained in a ripped crop top. I study her body more and find her holding a rose.
Still in shock, I can't process what's been displayed in front of me. I check for any pulse but nothing. My wife can't be dead, right? She won't die on me, right? My thoughts run over my head as I cry over her dead body begging for her to still be alive.
I start thinking of every single possibility that could've killed her. Then,I remember the person in suspicious black clothing. I accuse them of everything, and even though it has not been confirmed it's them, I'm still positive that they were somewhat related to all of this.
I close my wife's eyes as I cannot endure seeing the pain in her eyes anymore. I hold her gently and walk towards the bed, placing her with care. Not knowing what to do next, I take out my phone with shaking hands and dial my assistant.
He answers with a very tired voice, I tell him everything, and the tone of his voice changes. He's now widely awake willing to know every detail. He then asked if I called 911.
"N-no" I stuttered, realizing I should've."What?! Why??" He asked abruptly. I didn't want to call 911 in the first place because of what happened a few months back. I didn't reply to him and he understood.
"Ah, I see." he said with a low tone of voice."Yeah.." I said back. I realized that it's best if I take photos of the evidence before I touch or clean anything again."Should I come over?" He asks, "Yes,please." I agree as I do not want to be alone at this time.
"But, don't hang up. In case something happens." I alarm him. He understands and keeps me company throughout the phone call. I started taking photos of every single detail of the scene. I realized that there was something out of place.
I walked over to the nightstand to see what was placed on top. And to my surprise, it was another pile of roses, but these roses weren't any ordinary roses. I took a whiff of it and sensed my wife's scent. I started sobbing once more. Were these..anniversary flowers?
My wife was still on the bed so I put my attention back to her body. I realize that I should at least cover her up. Slowly putting the sheets on her, I remember the night I was tucking her in bed and cried out even more."Hey, it's okay. We're gonna sort this out." Nolan comforts me."How long until you arrive? I can't take it anymore." I ask him.
He takes some seconds to respond and finally says "I'm here." I felt a tiny bit of joy knowing someone was supporting me throughout this whole thing. He sprints towards me."How did you get in? I don't remember giving you any spare keys." I curiously ask him.
"Front door is open. I locked it though, be careful." he then looked around and then his eyes focused on my wife's body."What the hell?? There's no way." He says with a scared voice. I look at him and he could see the pain in my eyes.
He grabs a tissue that was on the light stand and walks towards me, he then wipes away the tears from my eyes and starts comforting me again. After that,he then says "We should get to work now. We have a whole dead body to take care of."
I nod at him and place the used tissue on the nightstand."Are you sure you don't want to call 911? It's better to do so now than later because I don't know what to do when there's a whole murder scene in front of me."
"I'm sure, we can just sort this out ourselves." He looked at me with a hesitant face and was about to refuse."Please?" He finally confirms "Fine, but don't rely on me, like I said I d-" "do not know how to work with dead bodies, I know." I complete his sentence.
"I also don't, but this is my wife, I can't just leave her here." After successfully convincing him, we began to work. He cleans off the blood stains and I collected the roses." For you." He says, I look at him then his hand and find him handing me a rose. "Come on, lets get to work. Take this."
It takes me some time to react, so he just throws it at the pile. Eventually,I zone out."Hey, you alright?" I was unresponsive."Sedrik, answer me!" I then come back to reality and realize he was calling for me."Sed-" "Yes!" I respond within the speed of light.
He looks at me and laughs softly."But seriously, are you okay? Need anything?" I think for a bit then say "Just a bit hungry." He nods "I'm feeling a bit hungry too, you need anything else though?" I shake my head.
"Okay then, let's put the body somewhere and have a little snack." We then move the body to the 35-inch-sized couch. My hands begin to weaken since I couldn't bear holding my wife's own dead body.
"Okay, that should do it. Now let's go get a quick snack to refill our energy." I look at him and thank him for all of his support."Don't worry about it, I'll support you no matter which side you are on." My stomach then growls which makes him smile.
"A little too hungry, huh?" I playfully hit his shoulder "Ow!" "Come on, let's go already." He agrees and we both leave the room causing the body to be unattended for the being.
