Carlo's POV
2 and a half years later, our case with Nolan Anderson was unsuccessful. Unfortunately, AFD wasn't able to track him down and we couldn't either.
"Yo, Carlo," Will said as he closed the door behind him. "You alright?" He asked. "Yeah, got a headache, that's all."
"I see." He sat down on his chair and ruffled through the documents on his table. He took one out and gathered the rest, stacking them on top of each other.
He put them away in his drawer. "We really need to clean this place up," I said, "especially your side."
"Already working on it." He said. I got up and helped him since we had nothing to do. I picked up the paper that fell from the stack of papers he was holding.
'CASE OF NOLAN ANDERSON' it read. "Forgot about this case," I said, showing him the paper. "Yeah but, didn't hear anything about the killer so we should be fine."
I shrugged and put it on the table. "I'm gonna head home, see ya" "Bye." he waved at me.
I left the office and into my car, driving home. Finally, I arrived. I unlocked the door to my apartment and entered. It still smelt like the food I had yesterday.
I sprayed mist into the air, then went to my fridge to grab something to drink. I chugged down the entire bottle of orange juice. It was about to finish anyway.
I threw it in the trashcan and then went to my bedroom. A little sleep won't hurt. I fluffed up my pillow and went to sleep.
I woke up 7 hours later, it was still dark outside. I got up from my bed and went into the bathroom. I stared at my face, a hair strand dangling from my head. My eyes are half open.
I opened the faucet and splashed the cold water on my face, getting my hair wet too. I ran my hands through my hair then washed my face off with a towel.
I opened the door and heard my phone buzzing. I ignored it and instead decided to take a shower first. I went to fetch my towel from the drier. It was still warm.
I hugged it for a moment to relieve the coldness from my body. Then, went to the bathroom again. I stripped my clothes off my body and entered the shower.
It took me 20 minutes to finish, I wrapped the towel around my waist and brushed my teeth. After I was done with that, I went to get dressed.
I wore a white shirt along with a leather blazer. And some pants, of course. I left the room and checked my phone to see who was calling me.
It was an unknown caller, probably the wrong number. I closed my phone and shoved a granola bar into my pocket.
I left my apartment and into my car, I really need to get some groceries. I started the engine and it took several tries, and I also need to get a new car.
