- Lisa's POV -
I turned the bathroom sink off and grabbed a towel, patting my face dry whilst walking back into my bedroom. "So why exactly was Jennie with you when i came to pick you up?" I heard Juliet ask from laying on the bed. "What do you mean?" I placed the towel aside, gently sitting down right next to her.
"Lisa, don't act dumb! The public might have not known you two did date but you confessed it to me that it happened. It's not an exciting feeling to see my girlfriend with her ex." She continued. "Oh." I locked my eyes directly on hers, pulling up a smile.
"Calling me your girlfriend already? I don't remember the time we actually made it official or put a label for ourselves." I lifted my leg over her, grabbing both of her wrists to keep her arms pinned on the bed sheets.
"Okay, my bad but nonetheless, we promised to not see nobody else and what are you doing? Hanging out with your ex." It was obvious she had eased out yet keeping the topic going. "Juliet, all four of us hung out. Jennie and i were alone for a couple of minutes plus in that period there was nothing more then just small talk."
"Promise?" She pulled up a smile, understanding the situation now. "I promise that's the truth." I returned the energy and leaned down to lay a soft peck on her lips before coming back off her. "We'll just not bring her up anymore." She finished.
"Exactly! Now what do you wanna do for tonight? Netflix & chill?" I pressed my back on the headboard, grabbing the remote. "Define chill." Juliet asked, bringing my attention on her again. "Is it that hard to understand the meaning of that word?" My lips formed a smirk by now.
"You know exactly what i'm trying to say. That word 'chill' can mean two things when it comes out of your mouth." She brought up the confident tone. "Yet this time it's your turn to choose which one we use."
"But you know what, i have a more romantic idea." She slid away from me, standing off the bed. "I have noticed that you have brought your guitar out in the open again." She gave me a curious look. "Yeah? I mean, sort of get that spike of interest to play a few melodies after an overwhelming day."
"Can you play me something?" She softly asked. "The guitar over cuddling or something a little more spicy?" I stared at her in confusion. "It's not like we grew this situationship just to be lazy or sexual. I want some romance. I barely get it from you even though that's apart of your personality!"
"I mean, of course! I don't mind. I just never knew you were looking forward to the lovey dovey stuff." I gave out a chuckle whilst standing off the bed myself. "We can head to the living room. That place got that good echo for the guitar." I grabbed her hand, leading her with me.
- Jennie's POV -
I dropped down on the couch, giving a glance over to Adam that was stuffing his face with popcorn, staring at the movie that is playing on the tv.
"Was able to come pick me up and drive me here yet i get zero attention from you afterwards." I sort of mumbled out but enough loudness for him to understand. "Sorry?" He gave me a glance back in a questioning expression, obvious that he didn't hear what i said either way.
"What's this movie called is what i asked." I pushed up a smile, seeming like nothing had happened. "Oh! I'm not sure. I picked one out just earlier. A mix of romance and comedy." Adam explained, burying his focus back on the screen.
I gave out a sigh and sank in the couch, forcing myself to just spend the last hours awake to watch this movie. I stole a handful of popcorn from his bowl which he didn't even take note of to make a funny statement like he always does.
The more i analyzed the characters and storyline, it was obvious that the film was about a family. An everyday life of a household full of chaos.
A new scene cut to a girl's bedroom, her waking up to the sound of her phone going off from a message in the middle of the night.
my love: i'm waiting for you at the Delta hotel. Room number 57. I have a surprise. <3
She didn't even hesitate and stood up, throwing the first clothes she sees on and quietly sneaking out of her parents house. The two girls met at the hotel room door, leading each other in as the surprise was immediately revealed across the bed.
A bouquet of roses, chocolate and the atmosphere was just so romantic that i genuinely felt a stab of pain in my heart from how long it has been since i've gotten such a gift.
It didn't even take long as the two wrapped their hands around one another, leaning in for a passionate but quick kiss before the scene was cut back to the household.
I couldn't quite hide it but a feeling of comfort from seeing two girls in love made me smile. Taking a look towards Adam made me in the clear that he didn't see my emotions spike so positively but i knew this might be the right moment to confess something.
"Babe." I spoke out, surprisingly getting his attention immediately. "Don't you think it's been a while since i received something romantic?" I questioned in a soft voice. "A while? I bought you a perfume store gift card last month. Did you already spend the money on it?"
"Babe, it's not that. I don't care about the value, i care about the idea of a gift. Even just one rose would make me believe that your love towards me is staying just as strong." I explained, already feeling let down from how careless his is becoming with the most simplest things.
"But, Jennie, you already know i love you. What's the point of proving it if that's an obvious fact?" Adam's answer made me feel even worse so i just gave up on trying to push him to acknowledge my needs.
"Men truly don't understand." I mumbled under my breath which this time he didn't even catch on to me ever saying something.
