- Lisa's POV -

"Are you sure you don't want to come? People know we are close friends but that's about it. We shouldn't get targeted." I turned around to look at Juliet when stopping by the front door. "The fashion show is about to start and i'm no where close to even being ready so just enjoy it. We can pair up for a different event." She replied, going in to fix the collar of my blazer.

"I mean, i am going there just because Jisoo and Rosé invited me to join them on the seats by the runway so i'll probably be back as soon as the fashion show ends." I admitted, grabbing my coat to slip on so i avoid the snow wetting my outfit too much.

"See! Exactly. You're gonna be gone for a couple of hours so i'm okay. I'll skip this one besides a few meetings online that i have to take part in. Can't just be living off your money." She pulled up a proud smile, laying her arms gently on my shoulders.

"Then i'll see you hopefully before midnight." I gave in for a quick kiss before driving over to the building the event is gonna happen. I sat down next to Rosé after greeting the two and the evening went on just as perfectly as i imagined.

"Jennie has no joke done a good job." I heard Jisoo comment after the last model had walked off the runway. "I have to agree with you. She has came far and just as success in life." I added in, feeling genuinely proud of her spot as the CEO of a fashion industry.

"Also, Lisa, you'll stay for the light after-party right? You can't ditch out this time since you already used that yesterday night." Rosé questioned with a brave smile. I knew that those couple of hours had flied by but then again there truly wasn't a serious reason for me to head back home immediately.

--
".. so let's cheer to that!" Bella Hadid raised her champagne glass, approvals across all the celebrities here filled the after-party area. "To a successful night!" Jennie brought her glass in, the three of us pushing ours out as well before taking the sip.

"Good job though, Jen. I know i've said it plenty of times already through the evening but i am just proud of you!" Jisoo spoke directly to her, Jennie's face lighting up with a smile that honestly made me even happier.

"I also have to say that not only did the designs on your models looked great but so do you tonight." I had no fear to throw out a quick compliment. "Why thank you! Not too bad yourself." She gracefully dropped her eyes down and up my appearance.

I was about to speak again yet the vibration of my phone went off in my pocket so i took it out, seeing a call coming from Juliet. "Hey, we both are gonna roam around. Say hi to a few friends so you two stay, catch up on life." Rosé spoke out, seeing them leave right away.

I decided not to bother explaining anything over the phone to Juliet and just slipped my phone back in my pocket. "I'm not the only one that lied about being single the first day we reunited." Jennie's voice brought my eyes up to hers.

"Pardon?" A wave of confusion came over me from what is she referring to. "I don't think you save someone's contact name as 'babe' just for fun." She bravely kept her smile, seeming like she accomplished something just now.

"What if it is for fun? A long time has passed so can you really admit it to yourself that you know me well enough?" I copied her confident energy. "If it was just your friend that just called, you would have at most answered and said you'll call back later."

"Quit trying to read minds. A marriage is quite a bigger secret to hide from the three people you were so close to for years." I proudly sipped on the champagne. "I see you like to stir up arguments out of nowhere." Jennie continued, not showing a single sign to become a loser in this situation.

"Let's recall who was at fault for the beginning of our break up, why don't we?" I placed my glass away, crossing my arms in front. "Ohh, Lisa! You have become this stubborn?" A laugh slipped through her lips. "I'm just making you feel guilty. Your fault again that this argument grew so deep."

"Okay. Sure. Make me the sore loser then. I'll build up my revenge the next time we meet, just be ready." She pulled up a smile. "Admitting that you're already looking forward to seeing me again?" I wasn't in the mood to just cut this short from how fun it was to see her break piece by piece.

"You believe that i'll specifically make time out of my day just to arrange a meet up with you? Don't be funny. These few times we have come together is only for the sake of our old group memories. They tend to bring me joy but oh, guess what, these memories don't quite involve you when i think of it." Jennie kept her smile visible, biting back on me just as hard, making me love this even more.

"Hmm. I think you have got me. That was harsh. Real hurtful!" I pressed my palm on my chest, giving out a hiss. Nonetheless i felt my phone vibrate again, already expecting to see Juliet's call which this time i answer.

"Yes, darling?" I spoke out loud enough for Jennie to hear me. "Lisa, are you okay? It's past midnight by now and i've texted you multiple of times. Where have you gone?" I heard her concerning tone through the phone. "I'm okay! I joined the light after-party but it's honestly boring so expect me home in 10 minutes." I stood up, purposely staring down at Jennie with a smile.

"Please be careful driving back. The snow storm has gotten significantly worse so the streets are most likely not cleaned at this hour." She spoke back which i assured her that i'll be safe before we hung up.

"Sadly i'll be going already. Someone has to make money rather then sit at parties and enjoy liquor every night." I confessed, absorbing Jennie stand up by now. "Oh, how exciting is that. I'll finally be able to breathe now, get rid of company that i so hardly tried to give signs to leave a long time ago." She fired at me one last time.
