- Jennie's POV -

"Hey. Where are you going?" I stopped my hand from grabbing the front door handle and turned around to see Adam staring at me with curiosity. "Oh, just to hang out with the girl group." I innocently pulled up a smile at him. "Again?! You had dinner last night and this night again?" He made his way closer with annoyance.

"Babe, we barely get to come together and it's genuinely been so long being apart so we decided to bring back the old traditions." I continued to explain. "And what about me? Maybe bring me with you? I want to spend some time with you as well, is that so hard to understand?"

"Adam, tomorrow. Not now, i'm sorry." I quickly laid a peck on his lips before finally leaving the house and getting into my car to drive over to Rosè place where the four of us planned to chill this night.

I was lead inside by her fiancèe, meeting up with Lisa in the living room. "I'll go hurry Rosé up with the snacks." She spoke, giving the two of us a pleasant smile before walking out of view. "Soo.. Jisoo's late this time?" I broke the silence, asking Lisa. "Exactly. It seems as this is gonna become a cycle where at least one of us will be late every time we plan a get together." She playfully explained.

"It was tough having no leader in the group back then and till this day nothing has truly changed." I smiled back. "Now i have to agree with you on that."

Silence waved between us, the light sounds of something cooking in the kitchen only filling the area. I was genuinely feeling nervous for some reason. Almost like i feel vulnerable next to Lisa. Maybe from what i did? Or is it something else?

"So sorry! Valerie will take over the cooking so you two aren't bored here without me." Rosé came rushing from the kitchen. "I wasn't informed of having dinner together again. I thought we were just hanging out." I admitted. "Jen. There wasn't a chance that i'll invite guests over and not make them something." Rosé sat down just in front of us.

"But to drift off the topic, you are in quite the place in your life Rosé. Gorgeous house, fiancée and even a child to take care of." Lisa spoke. "Let's just say i'm settled well for the rest of my years on living." She tried to hold back her proud smile. "When is the wedding?" I quietly asked just in case this is a discreet topic. "Haven't set the date yet but definitely roaming over all the ideas for the ceremony."

"Well now you have got me feeling jealous." I laid back in the couch with a jokingly annoyance expression. "I should be jealous of you, Jen! You are already married!" Rosé fired back as realization hit me from forgetting that i am married. "I don't want to assume anything right now but to forget that you are in a marriage gives it away that something is off between you two." Rosé questioned, putting me right on the spot.

"I didn't forget about it! It just didn't cross my mind in that second." I tried to clear the situation yet thankfully the sound of the doorbell went off and Rosé got up to invite in whoever is there.

"That didn't quite work out for you, did it?" Lisa's voice caught my attention, seeing her already smiling at me. "If you're with someone every single day, it does get tiring so i just forgot in that moment." I explained, already sensing that Lisa isn't that dumb to believe my words.

"Exactly. You spend time with them every day so the thought of that person being in your life stays in your mind in all situations." She proudly spoke, raising her eyebrows as if she just proved something. "Shut up." I mumbled under my breath. "Make me." She kept her smile without hesitatingly replying.

"I'm finally here!" Jisoo's voice filled the living room, my eyes turning over to look at her. "Next time whoever is late will have to pay for the dinner." I blurred out, standing up to give into a hug with Jisoo. "Deal! I'm down!" Rosé yelled, laughs escaping from the all of us right after.

--
"Thank you, was lovely to meet you Valerie." Lisa had spoke as we had stepped outside of the house. "Same to you both. Rosé had been bombing me through these years on how lucky and alive she felt when she was apart of the k-pop industry with you three." She confessed, a smile spreading across my lips.

"Those were and will stay as the best times in our lives." I added in. "Sorry to say this but i truly didn't know much about your personalities but now that we got to hang out, you two are a great pair." Valerie continued, a flow of pure nervousness going through my whole body. "Oh, we aren't dating. If Rosé ever mentioned - we had been but not right now. Time just decided to move us in different directions." Lisa came in for the rescue and answer.

"Oh, you aren't?! I'm so sorry! I just- well i obviously knew you two were for the sake of Rosé but if i'm being honest, tonight you seemed to of shared a lot of chemistry so that's where i sort of got it from that you two might just have gotten back together." She gave off a light laugh right after to try and dim down the impact of her assumption towards us.

"Well thank you for your honesty." I finally managed to push something out myself before we said our goodbyes and the front door shut. "I can't quite calculate how to react to that." Lisa spoke as we began to walk down the set of stairs towards the gate of the house.

"You read my mind." I replied back, giving her a quick glance as we stopped by the road outside. "Well, you're beloved girlfriend is gonna pick you up again?" I questioned. "I'll call an uber." I absorbed Lisa pull out her phone.

"Maybe i can take you? I came here with my car." I asked, her eyes finally looking up at me. "I'm okay. An uber will do." She politely smiled back, refusing my offer. "You know, you don't have to be in such denial for us to hang out alone as well. Without the other two besides it's probably a couple of minutes of a drive unless you live god knows where."

"Jennie, i'm not in any denial, i just don't want you to do something like that for me. It's unnecessary." She gave out a chuckle. "Lisa, what happened to us happened and that's in the past. That doesn't mean we can't be friends, help each other out."

"A active friendship between ex's is a horrible thing for partners to find out so it's no ideal i accept this." She admitted, showing a confidence expression. "If i park a further distance from your place then nobody will find out." I returned her energy, trying my best to convince her to take my offer.
