Cardo hasn't said anything to me since that night. The whole thing is just crazy. I know I put myself in danger but everything worked out. He isn't even sleeping in the same room as me. It's been a week now and he still won't talk to me. I even went as far as trying to have sex and he didn't even want that. I'm not going to push him anymore either, if he wants to talk to me then I guess he will talk to me.
J.J. is back with his mother now and she didn't even know that he was doing all that stuff. as far as his dad goes she hasn't seen him in weeks. She was highly pissed that he was even involved with stuff like that. It made me feel bad because I used to have Nala in the trap all the time and she can't even tie her shoes yet.
I'm going shopping with Ray and Danny today for Christmas gifts for Nala and Ryder. Carlos and Elisa are going to take them to see Santa Claus at the mall. I wish I could be there but everything needs to be in order and u just can't and there won't be another chance for them to see him. Nala is a big Christmas lover so while there out I'm going to turn the condo into a winter wonderland again. Ryder was to young to understand but now he does and he will probably love it.
"What should we get Nay, Lena?" Danny asks while pushing the cart in Target.
"I think that life size doll house would make her pretty happy." I say looking at the list.
"What about that necklace she said she wanted?" Ray asks pushing another cart filled with toys for Ryder.
"Yeah but I think I'll go to Selanés for that. We can go after we're done here."
"Okay but what about the dolls for the house?" Danny asked.
"Yeah let's get them." We walked down the doll isle. I saw lots of other mothers staring at the guys weirdly. I saw one in particular that looked familiar. I hope it's not who I think it is.
"Well look at what the cat dragged in." her voice echoes throughout my head.
I turn around to be faced with Ahriyah. "Hey we ain't bothering you so gone on somewhere." Danny said. I acted like I didn't even hear her as I grabbed 2 dolls from the shelf and put them in the cart.
"I wasn't talking to you Danny baby." she laughs and I can feel her coming near me. "Lena?"
"Yes." Fucking whore.
"You know I recently had a baby boy right?"
"Yes and I also know that you think Cardo is the father-"
"That's because-"
"Did I say I was finished?" I ask before continuing. "I also know you turned Katrina against the only ones who truly loved her. I don't like you and really I don't think anyone does. If you didn't have a children I would have been planted a bullet in your head. I would never take someone away from there child and if you truly believe Cardo is your child's father then take that up with him. If you were truly a good parent you would worry about your baby and not how to make someone else's life miserable and before I leave I have to ask you something." She looks up at me with shame and I want to laugh but I don't. "Have you seem Katrina?"
"The last I saw her she was strung out on heroin. Drik said he was going to kill her but that was a month ago." She explains. "I'm sorry, I just...I don't know. You guys were all so happy and I just felt like I was supposed to be you ."
"Well you're not and now you're a mother and from the rumors I've heard I think you've been one for awhile. Grow up. If not for you then for your children." I dismiss her with my tone and she walks off. "You think they need cloths?" I ask Danny and he stares at me with a smirk. I roll my eyes and ask Ray the same question but he's looking at me with that same dumb ass smirk. "What?"
"Dang I didn't know you had it in you!" Danny praises.
"Niggah were you not holding her back when she beat the bitch ass." Ray laughs and I have to join him on that one because he did grab me.
"Yeah but I thought she was going to fight her in this store pregnant as hell." Danny said laughing louder making Ray nod his head in agreement.
"I would not put my child in danger." I tell them and hope they don't bring up when I went to the Trap House.
"You sure about that because..." Of course Danny would bring it up.
"I didn't know that was going to happen!" I whine. I'm so sick of every one being upset with me.
"You shouldn't have been there in the first place." Ray mocks my tone. We continue shopping after I argue a little bit longer with them. I got Nala a Necklace with her name and a charm on it. We had a lot of fun choosing toys for Ryder because all the boy toys were little Legos but he is like 1 so we didn't get him those. On the drive back we stopped by and picked up some stuff to make the winter wonderland. We also bought dinner because I don't feel like cooking.
When we made it home the house was empty and I was kind of grateful. It's tough being around Cardo when all he does is ignore you. Ray and Danny start on putting the Christmas tree up and pulling the cotton ball like substance apart to play as the snow. I start hooking the big plastic snowflakes on the walls. I plan on decorating the tree with Ryder and Nala when they get here. Instead of a star to go on top of the tree I got an angel.
After hours of hard labor the winter land is finished and right on time the kids run in. Nala stops in her tracks with her mouth wide open. I laugh and she looks at me with bright eyes and Ryder looks very impressed. He nods his head looking around. Ray runs to him and grabs him in his arms. He giggles with happiness and Carlos comes in holding a bunch of shopping bags. Elisa is following and her face immediately smiles when she sees Danny.
Nala comes up to me and hugs me screeching. I laugh and hug her to me then she goes and plays in the fake snow. Ryder joins him after Ray put him down. We sat on the couch and drunk hot cocoa talking while the children played after dinner.
"Lena remember your last Christmas with your mom and dad?" Ray asks.
"Yeah that was the best one so far... it doesn't even Feel like she has been gone that long." I think about how much time has passed.
"I feel you on that one. I bet you miss her at times like this." Ray clears his throat and stays quiet. Nala stands up and walks up to me and climbs in my lap. I rub circles in her back while she drifts off to sleep. Ryder watches the tv laying in Elisa's lap.
"Did you guys contact Cardo?" I ask.
"He text me a few minutes ago and said he would be here shortly." Danny said looking down at his phone.
"Carlos is she asleep?" I ask him.
"Yeah, you want me to take her?" He stands.
"No I'm fine." I stand up with her holding into my neck.
"You shouldn't be picking her up still at this point in your pregnancy." He admonishes.
"You should leave me alone." I smile hugely before walking up the steps. After tucking Nala in her bed I go take a shower and climb in the bed. I stay up watching 'Spongebob' and laughing at Patrick. The door opens and Cardo comes through it. He doesn't even look at me and frankly I don't give a damn. After he gets out of the shower he gets in the bed with me and turns the other way. I laugh and keep watching the tv. He doesn't even flinch.
