We woke up early today so I could get out of the house. All of us are supposed to pile in the escalade for breakfast at Ihop. Its 8 o'clock now and we should get there at 9. After that I was hoping we could go to another appointment because lately I have been feeling a lot of pressure on my lower stomach. Like someone is pushing down on it. It feels like it will fall out any moment. I can't even stand for long now without feeling like something will fall out.
My phone rings as I grab my purse. I answer it on my way down the stairs. Everyone is already downstairs ready to go. "Hello?" I say into the phone.
"Hey Le wassup?" Danny greets into the phone.
"Nothing just got a full day planned with everyone. How is everyone back home?"
"We're good just planning and staying ready for anything. What's wrong with you?"
"Nothing I'm fine, really."
"No you're not you sound like you're hurting so what's wrong?"
"I just have a little pain on my lower stomach but I'm going to the doctor. It isn't pain but it does push down you know?"
"Girl I ain't never been pregnant so how in the hell am I supposed to know?"
"Shut up dummy." I laugh as I make it to the bottom step. Nala walks up to me and grabs my hand. Ryder is holding Elisa's and he greets me brightly. Nala just rubs her eyes. I have to unenroll her for that school for toddlers and find another one here. So many plans I had have changed.
"Let me talk to my baby." Danny tells me.
"Elisa, Danny wants to talk to you." I tell her.
"I already talked to him." She said looking confused.
"You know what I meant Lena. Where Nala at?" Danny said through the phone.
"Uncle Danny wanna talk to you." I pass her the phone and she yawns before saying hey into the phone. "Everybody ready?" I smile. They all nod and then we go out to the car port. Yeddy gets in the drivers seat as Kelo locks the doors and turns on the alarm system. After he was finished he came and got in the passenger side of the car. Nala was still on the phone while I strapped her in her carseat. Ryder was in his bouncing up and down excitedly. Nala just looked tired. She will definently be going to bed early tonight. As we drove out of the parking lot the gate opened and closed and the man in the booth nodded at us. The 2 men at the gate stood like soldiers.
"Where to first?" Yeddy asks as we pull into the main highway.
"The doctors." I breath out because my side is killing me. He just nods and we keep silent for the rest of the ride. When we make it there Yeddy gets out and opens my door. "You guys wanna stay here?" I ask them.
"One of us will then the other can drive looking for a parking space." Kelo said getting out of the passengers side. Yeddy walks me to the front of the building and we step through the automatic doors. After I sign in we sit and wait. Elisa, Ryder, Nala, and Kelo walk through the doors after a few minutes of waiting. Nala comes to sit by me and Ryder goes to play with the little toys at the small table. Nala passes me my phone before going to join him.
My phone vibrates indicating I'm getting a call. I answer and get up to walk outside. Yeddy follows and I put the phone to my ear. It says Carlos was calling but if I know my baby's father then it's most likely him.
"What?" I say a little harshly.
"Hey to you too. What's wrong with you?" Cardo asks me and he sounds mad too.
"Honestly I just wish you would leave me alone. I'm gonna be fine without you." Tears spring to my eyes.
"Calm down, Lena. What you mean 'you gone be fine without me'. We about to have a child together. We love each other."
