ALANI CASTILLO
San Francisco, CA.

2 whole weeks since my whole world almost came crashing down. Not to mention the never ending family drama. The old Alani would've locked herself in her bedroom, sulking until this mess blew over but I've changed. Trying to avoid the issue wasn't going go help me. For the past few weeks, I've been having meetings with my new lawyer Jennifer Martin to see if Alyssa has any chance to win this case and as far as we can tell, the little bitch does not. Since Lori has been running L'Agence for the past 2 years, I simply informed her of our dilemma and she told me she'd scheduled a board meeting soon. I just wanted to give the board a heads up and assure them this wouldn't hurt the company at all.

I wasn't really stressing about the situation since I knew Alyssa was bluffing about that article. No blog has reported anything and I'd be damned if I let her think she has any power over my life.

But now that the Curry world tour has finally ended, I could really use a girls night. Gia was coming into town and I'm excited to finally be reunited with my bestie.

The sound of a door slamming shut interrupted my movements, making me put my paintbrush down. I've been using painting as a form of therapy for myself. I draw whatever I'm feeling at the moment instead of isolating. It gives me chance to sit with my emotions instead of lashing out at random people. It's really helped me.

Wardell stood in my kitchen, innocently skimming through my fridge.

"I'm starting to regret giving you a key to my house." I said, startling him slightly. There was something oddly satisfying in how easily I just scared a 6'3 grown man. Must be my intimidating mom face.

"I came over here to ask you a favour." Wardell said nervously.

Something must be wrong. He never gets nervous, unless he knows whatever he wants to ask will seriously piss me off.

"What is it, Wardell?"

"I was wondering if you could take Rae tonight. A friend of mine is coming into town." He explained.

"I'm sorry, Wardell but you know Gia's in town. You also know how hard it's been for us to get together with our conflicting schedules." I said sternly. The last I saw Gia was at Raelyn's 2nd birthday party which was 3 months ago.

"This is important, Ally. I wouldn't be asking if it wasn't."

"If it's really that important you wouldn't mind telling me who your 'friend' is." I raised an eyebrow, hoping he'd finally tell me about the girlfriend he's been hiding. Instead he looks down at his feet.

"That's what I thought." I shook my head in disappointment. "I thought we weren't supposed to keep secrets from each other? What are you so afraid of? My reaction?"

"Yes, that's exactly it." Wardell admitted. "But you already knew about her didn't you?"

I nodded.

"You just needed to hear me say it." He said, scanning my eyes. All I really needed was for him to say it, to finally admit it so I can stop convincing myself that it wasn't real. "Well, Alani. I'm dating Kiana Ledè and I'd like to take her out to dinner tonight."

"Unfortunately, you're gonna have to reschedule, Delly." I said sternly.

"But I told you the truth. I thought-"

"Yes, but we've been planning this dinner for a while now. I'm sure you can go one more day without seeing your girlfriend."

Wardell stared at me with a blank expression before he smirked lightly. "Jealousy is not a good look on you, Ally."
