I walked out of Caspian's room to look for Lucy and hoping she could just tell me it is not real. I saw her sitting on the edge of the boat with Edmund and her cousin Eustace. I saw Reepicheep making his way to the boy.
"Have you found your sea legs?" Reep said to Eustace.
"Never lost them." He replied back annoyed. "Simply dealing with the shock. Mother says I have an acute disposition, due to my intelligence."
Edmund spewed the water he was drinking and tried to keep in his laugh. I even put a hand over my mouth to stifle in my laughter at Edmund.
"I don't think he has 'a cute' anything." By what Reepicheep said and I couldn't hold in my laughter making the mouse turn around to look at me.
"I am sorry but we haven't met." I walked up to Reepicheep. Keeping up my façade that I am not from here and don't know anything about it. "I am Lilith."
"I know." The mouse said. I furrowed my brows and look at Edmund and Lucy, silently asking them if they told him me who I was. But by the looks of them I notice they haven't introduce me to the mouse.
Reepicheep saw my confused face and stumbled out an apology that he has to go. I whipped my head over to the blond boy.
"I am Lilith, you must be Eustace." I said to the boy and held up my hand for him to shake. I heard the name a few times falling of Lucy's lips and I am very good with names and faces. "This is also my first time in Narnia." I said to ease his mind that he was not alone.
"I don't care who you are." The boy was clearly irritated at everyone and I kind of felt bad for him. He started walking the other way to get away from us. "As soon as we find civilisation I am contacting the British Consul. Have you all arrested for kidnapping."
He turned his head away not slowing down his pace and bumped right into the King.
"Kidnapping is it." Caspian walked up to the boy getting closer and closer. He had a smile on his face, a smile of amusement. He quickly glanced over Eustace shoulder and made eye contact with me.
I quickly looked away, still remembering how my cheeks burned from his touch. I sort of ran out of his room as soon as he said we were done.
"That is funny, I thought we were saving your life."
"You held me against my will!" Eustace said to Caspian, he felt scared, scared of what the king will do. Not really knowing he is safe on this ship with his cousins being High King and Queen.
Eustace didn't stop there with complaining. Calling everything unhygienic and calling it a zoo. I felt more and more bad for the guy. But he is here for a reason, so he will get use to it.
"Land ho!" I heard one of the crew mates scream on top of his lungs. I saw him pointing at something at the sea. I turned and walked to the end of the boat. This is it, this will be the first adventure of many more to come.
"Nervous?" I heard Edmund say next to me. I quickly nodded, not wanting to lie to anyone here- not making it worse. "It will pass, I have seen you fight. You will do great."
"I really cannot fight with the weapons I have chosen." I gave him a slight smile.
"We will be there in 10 minutes, I can learn you a lot in 10." He waved his hand for me to come over. He started to ask some of the crew mates for some things.
They had a wooden plank put up against the door and painted a cross on it. Edmund directed me to the good spot. He gave me a slight smile.
I grabbed one of my throwing knives and without any thought I pointed it at the target. Completely and utterly missing the target.
Instead the knife went through the glass of Caspian's room, which now belongs to me and Lucy. Edmund laughed at how bad I missed it.
"Okay." He came closer to me. He kicked my feet in the right stance and switched my weight on the other feet. He moved my hand that was holding the knife in front of my eye. He took a step back and looked me up and down. I raised my eye brows at him. He gave me a nod to throw the knife.
I threw it and it missed its target by a few inches. I threw up my arms in celebration making everyone who was watching laugh. After calming down I started to practice for a few minutes and I was getting better and better. My toxic trait will be that I could do it backwards.
We only had a few minutes before we would be arriving. With Edmunds help I got really the hang off fighting with my two daggers. He did told me to try to use a sword, because with the two daggers the enemy would be way to close, but I just waved my hand at him telling him I would be okay.
I had a feeling this was Aslan's doing. Making me excellent in fighting with weapons, just like the Pevensie's when they first came to Narnia.
"Ready to board!" I heard another scream. I quickly thanked Edmund and went my way to one of the boats. Caspian was already seated in one and once he was me he quickly got up. He held his hand up for me to grab and helped me into the boat. I gave him a slight thanks in return.
I saw there was a nervous glint in Caspian's eyes.
"What is wrong?" I asked him, hoping he would talk to me.
"There aren't any flags up." I gave him a confused look. "The flags mean they are part of Narnia, and the Lone Island – where we are now – are part of Narnia." I hummed in knowledge and focused on the island.
There wasn't any colour. It was grey and brown and just blunt. We finally arrived and again with the help of Caspian I went ashore. Reepicheep walked in front of me, excited about what answers lay behind the stone walls.
