The smell of ocean air felt refreshing after the musk of stale air in the tower, the breeze calming.

You always felt clamer in the presence of the ocean breeze.

All twenty-eight applicants currently stood outside the tower, having completed the third phase and awaiting futhur instructions for the fourth phase.

Gon was busy retelling what happened during the last couple hours before they made it to the end of the third phase.

You clapped as he finished, "That was some smart thinking. Well done, like Leorio said earlier you really did save everyone."

Gon just chuckled at the praise, embarrassed. Even as Killua swung a arm around his shoulders, a hint of pride in his tone, "That's right, we would never have made it otherwise. Well not everyone at least."

You raised an eyebrow, tutting, "Yeah I heard how you planned on continuing on without everyone else besides Gon."

Killua didn't even have the audacity to look guilty, simply looking to the side and pushing his hands into his pockets.

You stopped for a moment, looking behind you concerningly at the sight of
Akaki furiously patting herself to get rid of the dust staining her clothes, becoming more hasher overtime.

She noticed your gaze and scoffed, "What? It's not my fault no one bothered to clean that damn tower."

You were about to help her, dust still covering sections of her body and clothes but a voice stole your attention.

In front of the crowd of applicants stood Lippo, "Ladies and gentlemen, congratulations on escaping Trick Tower. Only the fourth phase remain."

Akaki pumped her arm in the air with a grin, excitement at almost getting a hunter license making her eyes light up.

You smiled at the sight, Lippo still talking in the backround as he thrusted a finger behind him," The fourth phase will take place there, on Zevil Island."

The island itself appeared small in the distance but incredibly lush with amazing greenery.

Killua rolled his eyes at the name of the island, "How original."
Gon shrugged, "It gets the point across?"

Overly dramatic, Lippo snapped his fingers and obediently an obnoxiously tall man came rolling in a cart with a box on top.

"I'll need you to draw lots." Lippo declared. At the confusion flying around, his lips lifted up in a slight smirk, "It's to determine who will hunt and who will be hunted."

Your eyes narrowed, thoughts running haywire in your head.
You turned to Akaki and through head jerk movements, you made her discreetly hide her badge in her satchel.

She just sent a nod towards you, trusting you completely.

Lippo gestured towards the box, "There are twenty eight numbered cards in here. In other words, the numbers correspond to the remaining applicants ID numbers."

It was quiet for a moment, the sound of clothes and shuffling just slightly prominent. There were very few who actually caught on and hid their badges.

" Now, I need you each to draw a lot. Will the first person come forward? " Lipppo finished.

Heads turned, it was natural of course. There was no scoreboard showing who finished first, only the second and maybe the third person who finished would know.

But hesitatant silence flooded as Hisoka stepped forward in all his glory. Even with the slightly bloodied appearance.

With sass only he could have, he walked with his hip jutted out and carelessly picked up a card. With the same sass, he walked away.
