43 || What are u doing?

Base was quiet the next day. Most people already off on break. I stood at the carpark giving Oryx a hug.

"You're too emotional for your own good" He laughs.

"Shut up" I mutter.

"You're going to make me late" oryx says and I feel his chest moving as he laughs.

"Another victim I see" Keegan calls from behind us. "I'm sure I seen her attacking two others before you" He laughs getting closer.

"Ahh, goodbyes for more than two days are too much for Dex" Oryx chuckles.

"It's called affection not attacking" I grumble back at Keegan.

"I still find it hard to believe you kill people for a living" Keegan says coming to stand beside us.

"Dex" oryx says laughing my name. "Dex I've got to go, you'll be fine, and I'll message you, promise."

"And send photos?" I ask looking up at him.

"Of course I will Dex" He smiles down at me. I slowly let him go with a small frown on my lips.

"Go before I start hugging you again" I huff. He laughs at me, ruffling my hair before planting a kiss on my head.

"You message me when you land tomorrow too" he says walking away as I wave.

"I'm about to chase the car" I mumble, vocalizing my thoughts.

"Dex you-" Keegan starts. I race forwards as soon as I see Oryx's door shut and Keegans quick to stop me with an arm around my waist.

"Scratch that question" He chuckles slinging me over his shoulder and heading towards base.

"This is a sad day" I sigh lying over his shoulder.

"You're okay Dex, we're all coming back" He laughs.

I hum sadly as I watch the ground move underneath me. I look up at the right time, seeing König. "König hey!" I smile.

"Dex?" He asks tilting his head to the side as if trying to see me on an upright angle. "Dex" he says confirming for himself it's me as he laughs.

"Was machst du dort?" He grins.
(What are you doing up there?)

"Apparently I'm too emotional" I say with a small laugh.

"Keine Schande für den Kleinen" He smiles.
(No shame in that little one)

I grin at König as Keegan greets him. He follows behind us upstairs. "You heading home for the break?" König asks me.

I nod happily, "are you?" He shakes his head. 

"It's not break time at ours" he smiles, holding the door open for me Keegan to pass through. Keegan sets me down and I take a seat beside Soap with a sigh.

"Everyone's leaving" I mutter.

"You're acting like we're all dying" Soap laughs. "It's not long Dex"

"I know" I say sitting up. I look around at the team before stopping on Ghost, my eyes pause.

He catches my staring and I offer a friendly smile as I always do. He nods back like always and I look away.

I focus on my other teammates, enjoying hearing where they're going for break. Even price has somewhere to go. The conversation centers around everyone's travels home and I see Ghost standing up as time passes.

I get up with him. Not really sure why I'm following but I let my legs lead me trusting them. "Ghost wait up" I say jogging to catch up.

"What's up?" He grunts, slowly his pace for me just by a step.
