"Stupid, stupid, stupid." Sonic angrily paced around. He had followed through with his earlier plans, linking with Stacy once he entered the festival, but the hedgehog couldn't bring himself to enjoy it after what happened with Amy. Seeing her face so disappointed made him want to run back to her house and hold her tight, but he doubted she'd let him.

"Hey Sonic, what's wrong?" The lilac, lightly tanned hedgehog asked. She softly rubbed his arm, but he gently shooed her away.

"Sorry, Stacy. Just feeling a bit under the weather is all." I lied, not wanting to hurt her feelings. She nodded.

"Alright, well, I'm going to grab some punch. You want some?" I shook my head.

"I'm good. I'm just going to sit here for a while. Besides, I don't trust anything that comes from Eggman." She chuckled lightly but nodded in understanding, making her way to the refreshments. I let my confidence fall slowly, observing the couples around me as everyone beamed with delight. Many were enjoying desserts together, while others indulged in frivolous activities or danced their hearts out. I sighed deeply, thinking back to Amy. I'm such an idiot. Instead of just asking her out, I chickened out like usual. What is wrong with me? I suddenly looked up, noticing a familiar shimmer of red glitter. She looked stunning as she gave her ticket to the recipient at the front. I got up, making my way to her, but suddenly stopped in my tracks, noticing her arm linked to someone else's. I narrowed my eyes at the broad fellow, my eyes widening in shock.

"Tommy Thunder!" I made my way over to the two, folding my arms as I reached them. Tommy looked confused as Amy smirked up at me.

"Oh! Hey Sonic!" She beamed cheerfully, grabbing hold of Tommy's bicep harder. I growled, shooting her a glare.

"What are you doing here with him? You haven't prowled after Tommy once." I huffed. She fake gasped.

"I'll have you know I own every movie Tommy has featured in." She said confidently. I rolled my eyes at her.

"And Tommy? What's with the sudden appearance?" I shot him a glare.

"Well, as a well-paid good, looking actor, I find that it's my civic duty to-"

"Okay, I don't care." I waved him off before glaring at Amy.

"Can we talk?" I pleaded. She sighed, shaking her head.

"Sorry Sonic. It would be rude of me to leave my date now, wouldn't it?" She said smugly, gesturing to my date, who was conversing with her friends. Amy giggled, stepping past me. I huffed in disbelief as she strutted off with Tommy gawking behind her. I growled at the sight. How could she bring that airhead? So what he has good looks, I'm an actual hero who saves people's lives.

"Wow, Eggman's punch is amazing!" Stacy beamed, taking another sip.

"Is that right?" I said, not taking my attention off of Tommy, who was guiding Amy with the balloon dart game. He is too close, and why does he keep touching her? Stacy suddenly tugged at my arm to catch my attention, but I ignored her, not breaking my glare on the two. She looked in the direction to see what I was fuming over. She only rolled her eyes at the sight.

"I thought you were over her. Isn't that why you're here with me?" She said softly, gripping my chin to turn my attention back to her. I blushed slightly under her intimidating gaze before removing her hand.
