You Really Love Me?

FOREST OF FIVE EMOTIONS

Sonic's Perspective

We finally stepped into the dark forest we'd been dreading the entire trip as we stared into the pitch-black terrain bewildered at the sight. Everything was coated in a dark gray as we observed our surroundings. The rivers moved rapidly fast, the animals croaked or growled in absolute agony, as the wind blew through the trees aggressively. Amy looked around in utter shock, as well as Sticks, while we watched the forest in fear of what could lay ahead.

"This. Is. Horrible." Amy stated, slowly stepping forward in disbelief. Sticks only nodded in agreement.

"I'm sorry guys, but I've got a bad feeling about this. Maybe living under Eggman ain't so bad." She shrugged, avoiding a Hateful Hibiscus flower biting at her ankles. I shook my head, disagreeing.

"No Sticks, living out our days as mindless henchmen for Eggman is the last thing you want." I replied, eyeing the badger as I walked past her. She shook her head, disagreeing.

"What if something happens to us in here, Sonic? We're all screwed over a stupid flower!" She replied rather aggressively. I looked at her, shocked at her abrupt response only to notice her ankles were dripping red; my worry only grew as she stumbled to the black grass below.

"S-sticks, are you alright?" I replied fearfully, noticing a small bite mark forming on her ankle. Her head snapped down, observing the wound as she gasped in shock.

"Oh no..." She replied with fear. The badger looked to me worriedly as she began to pant quickly. "Run and find the sap!" She said urgently. Amy and I immediately obeyed as we sprinted off, quickly increasing our distance from her. As we ran, more and more flowers attempted to bite at us as the small critters grew more hostile. Their aggression only increased as we jumped, avoiding their venomous bites. I dodged the flowers with ease, but Ames struggled a lot, not being able to keep up. Speeding to her, I crouched down, hoping to relieve her from the vicious forest. She looked to me as a wave of relief washed over her.

"Hop on!" I demanded. She instantly obeyed, jumping onto my back before glancing behind her, fearful of the biting creatures. I held on tightly to her shivering body quickly, zipping through the dark forest. Sticks wasn't fast, though; I figured we'd have a minute before she could catch up. I ran as fast as I could, quickly dodging the Huckleberry Trees that tried to forcefully knock us down. I was faster, though, moving through them swiftly until a sudden gasp escaped from Amy as she was pushed to the ground. I turned around, shocked, quickly searching the forest for the source of the sudden attack but saw nothing in the darkness.

"Ey, ey, ey!" A scream ranged from the trees above. I snapped my head in the direction of the yell but saw no one; no doubt it was Sticks, though, as the forest seemed to settle. I looked to Amy, who struggled to get back to her feet, slightly stumbling over herself from the impact of the push.

"Ames, be careful..." I sped to her, helping her up as she quickly gathered herself dusting the dirt away before searching the forest. The trees began to rustle as we turned to the sound.

"Sticks, is that you?" Ames asked curiously, looking to the trees. Silence only answered her as the trees whooshed from the aggressive wind.

"Sticks? Where are you?" I asked, looking around. It was quiet for several moments until the sly badger dropped down right in front of us.
