Note: This is from Season 3 Episode 2- The Interrogation, specifically, the hospital room scene.

They all turned to see Louis standing in the doorway. He started coming in and said, "It's so good to see that you're all right."

Brooke started to say, "Dad, she's not all right. She's-"

But Sophie interrupted her by saying/whispering, "Hey, hey. I'm fine"

Louis asked them, "Guys, can I talk to Sophie alone?"

Everybody looked at Sophie, some squeezed her hand- She winced in pain but didn't let it show fully- and walked out.

Louis sat on the beanbag next to her bed and asked, "How are you feeling, captain?"

"Awful."

"You scared me, the greenhouse, everyone- students and teachers alike. Nobody knows you're awake yet. I came running to see for myself and to get your permission to give updates about your health. The Eagles are worried about their captain."

"I'm honored so many people think about me. If everybody's eagerly waiting, as you said, I'm excited to meet them all."

"When the news came out, no one could eat. Me and the other teachers tried to persuade them but not a scrap of food could go down their throats. Finally, I got the houses pizza."

"At least a good thing came out of my fall. They all got pizza."

"Sophie, I am so, so sorry. I'm-"

"No, no, I'm sorry (sighs) I... I can't believe I let this happen"

"You fell Sophie. You didn't 'let this happen.'"

Sophie painfully shook her head slightly, not meeting Louis' eyes while he continued, "If anyone's responsible-"

Sophie quickly spoke up "It's.... It's all my fault." nodding slightly, "All my fault. I'm their captain"

Louis realized there was no way of changing her mind. He told her, "Sophie, whatever you think about yourself doesn't change the fact that you fell off the cliff wanting peace. When you fell, the eagles and ravens united to try and save you. You stopped the fighting in a way, by offering yourself as bait."

Sophie's lip quivered ever so slightly, and her eyes had a far-off look. Louis noticed this and asked, "What happened Sophie? Anything you want to say?"

Sophie sighed, tears forming in her eyes, and spoke, "I fell off a cliff, Louis. The comforting thing that saved my life was something many people find too painful to endure: a thicket of thorns. Here, everybody tells me how worried they are, and I try to be all right for them. Laugh, painfully inside, just to see them smile. But inside, Louis, I'm scared."

Louis asked her, "Scared by what?"

Sophie replied, "When I woke up, the doctors told me that there was no possibility of my survival. Some people falling off 30 feet die instantly while I fell around 200 feet. I shouldn't even be alive, Louis. I'm afraid that if I died, everybody would be united for some time, but start fighting again later. In the fight, I'm worried someone might face the same fate as me, but not be so lucky."

Louis thought for a moment then spoke, "Sophie, first, you fell off around 200 feet onto a thicket of thorns. Nobody in the greenhouse, at present, has suffered as you did. But you need to understand this, Sophie, that my students are fighters. You are a fighter. You're alive when you shouldn't be with lots of people who care about you and support your back. You defied all odds to be here with us today. Coming to future fights, you'll be on your feet in no time, I believe in you. Look at everyone present here, they're talking, smiling, laughing, and crying with no differentiation between houses. Back at the greenhouse as well, ravens are comforting the eagles who are worried about their captain. There will be no fights for some time, but it's true that after a while, fighting is inevitable. But do you think fighting will continue at the same pace as before?"

Sophie shook her head and Louis continued, "Verbal fights will be there, no doubt. But there will be no fist fights cuz everyone will be reminded of the happenings of the past few days. Your fall will help ensure some peace between the houses."

Sophie looked on the verge of tears. Louis noticed and said, "This situation is overwhelming, for all of us, especially for you. Remember Sophie, expressing emotions is not a sign of weakness but of strength. Please cry freely- don't keep your emotions bottled up inside you. Are you ok?"

Sophie's dam burst as she heard it. She started crying a little but soon became overwhelmed by the happenings of the last few days and screamed.

Louis stayed quiet for he knew this was not Sophie but the medicines taking a toll on her mental state.

As the effects wore out, Sophie calmed herself down and Louis said, "You have done things that most of us can't even imagine happening to us, Sophie. You have been brave and if you continue this, you'll be up on your feet in no time."

Sophie thanked him, "Thanks a lot for talking to me, Louis. It's what I needed right now."

"All of my students are my children. You are my daughter's best friend. It is my duty to help you guys when you are down."

Sophie nodded, drowsily.

Louis told her, "Now rest for some time. I'll announce to the greenhouse you're awake."

She asked sleepily, a smile on her face "Why will you tell them I'm awake when you told me to sleep?"

Louis gave a sarcastic exasperated smile, adjusted the backside to a sleeping position, and went out as Sophie slept.
