Della has middle-length black hair with the inside dyed red and red contact lenses (her natural eye color is green). Her skin is very pale. Her outfit is a short black dress. The dress's collar covers the neck, and the dress top has window-style cleavage. Half of the skirt is missing, replaced by a cage-like structure. Under the skirt is a pair of black shorts. Black glove-like sleeves come along with the dress, one sleeve covering the arm, except the hand and shoulder, while the other covers the hand and the shoulder, with the part that covers the fingers being red. She wears stockings: one stocking is red and of knee height, while the other is dark gray and covers the entire leg. Her shoes are elegant black high-heeled boots with one boot being shorter than the other. The most notable part of her appearance is a black crown atop her head with red gemstones.

Personality
Della is a dramatic and expressive person with a clearly visible preacher's talent. She speaks in a verbose manner, often using literary terminology and avoiding simple words as much as possible. She can turn even the simplest sentences into multiple-paragraph tirades through her unique vocabulary and manner of speech.

She is an easily irritable person, however, even when she is irritated, her manner of speech remains the same: in fact, whenever she is upset, her verbosity is turned up to full.

She begins threatening the people who upset her in unexpected ways, and uses unusual insults that are specifically tailored towards her opponents (such as insulting Calliope by calling her a "bitter sprouting tree": "bitter" refers to Calliope allegedly being foul-mouthed and impolite, while "sprouting tree" refers to Calliope's small height).

Despite her behavior, which is often bizarre and borderline disturbing, Della is, in fact, a caring person, as seen by how she gladly took Tenebris under her wing and financially supported him, despite lacking a stable source of income and being in a dire financial situation herself.

Backstory
In her childhood, Della was a completely ordinary person living in a completely ordinary family. She befriended Avril while they studied at the same elementary school, however, they stopped contacting each other after Avril moved to a different part of Destreza to study at an elite middle school.

While Della was in middle school, her parents divorced, and her father gained custody of her.

After a while, Della's father found a new wife, who became Della's stepmother. His new wife was a very eccentric person, interested in dark fantasy novels and the occult.

Della was fascinated by the stories told to her by her stepmother, and wanted to be like her in everything. She began dressing like her new role model, swapping out her cutesy pink dresses for dramatic dark gowns.

She created a persona that her real personality would slowly, but surely merge with: the "Queen of the Night", a demonic ruler of the darkness who condemns all who oppose her to eternal servitude. To fit her persona, she dyed the inside of her hair red, and began wearing red contact lenses.

Most of the other kids at her school thought of her as a weirdo, but found her antics entertaining, thus earning her the reputation of a class clown. However, she wasn't satisfied with the way that others treated her, and demanded to be taken seriously.

Her stepmother and her literature teacher were the only people who took her seriously. In fact, her literature teacher often praised her dramatic and verbose way of speech, and was impressed by her writing skills.
