Its been a week since uncle's demise. Ina was still in coma. She has been shifted to mom's hospital so mom can take care of her well. She couldn't even look at his face for the last time. I don't know what I can do to make her calm down after gaining consciousness. Because anyone can't make her feel less sad. Her loss is speechless and irreplaceable. Father is the first hero in a girls life and he is the first men she would trust. And now she lost her support. All I can do to her now is that to ensure her that I am with her and I will always be. I wish she open her eyes soon. Seeing her like this in this situation is hurting. But the question how can I answer her? Is poking me in my heart.
I was in my thoughts with all this questions then I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to the person and said "dad". I got up and immediately hugged him. He patted on my back and asked "how is she Neil?"
"The same dad no improvement" I replied.
"Why are you sitting here? You should have sat beside her".
"I am unable to see her like that dad".
"Don't worry my son. She will wake up soon. By the way did anyone of them visit Ina?"
"No dad, expect Anay and Reehan all of her brothers are visiting her daily".
"They may still be unable to cope up with the loss".
I nod my head indicating yes. "Neil you haven't been to home since a week even for once. Why don't you come once and rest for some time. Arth or Adi will stay with her meanwhile".
"No dad I don't want to leave her even for a sec. What if she undergoes something when I am not around? No dad I can't".
"okay Neil. I can understand you".
"Thanks dad".
"Mahindra when did you come?" asked mom.
"just few minutes ago" replied dad.
"Oh okay. Neil how is she?"
"Still the same mom" I said.
"Let me check on her" said mom. And we both followed her in. Mom checked her and said "her pulse is coming to normal stage. She might gain consciousness soon. All you have to do is sit beside her and talk to her. She can hear you. But remember don't tell anything that can affect her. Okay you got it right".
"yes mom. I will take care" I replied.
"Mahindra let's leave. Neil if you need anything reach me today I will be here all the day" said mom.
Dad patted my back saying "take care" and left the room with mom.
I sat next to her bed on the chair and held her hand. I slowly tucked her hair behind her ears and rubbed her ears. I bent forward to her and buried my face in the crook of her neck.
