The next morning William went to check on his daughter because she had been asleep longer than she usually does. When he entered her room he saw her sleeping holding a yellow object. When he got a closer look he saw that it was the yellow bunny that William would often wear when the pizzeria was still open. He smiled to himself and shakes her wake. "Kris, time to wake up, I have to stay at work late today so I want to say bye before I go."
Hearing this Kris gets up and looks at her dad. "Are you still going to be here in time for milkshakes?" She asks "I will try but if I don't I will make it up to you, I promise" He says. Kris hugs her dad, she felt like this was the last time she would hug her dad for a very long time, this feeling made Kris tear up "I love you dad, so much" Kris says tears falling from her eyes. "Why are you crying, I will only be gone a few extra hours" William chuckles as he pats Kris' hair. "I know but still" Kris says letting go and wiping her tears with her hand.

After getting ready she walks her dad to his car saying one last goodbye as he starts his car. William rolls down the window and say his goodbye. "Well, I'm off, see you later tonight Kris, Love you, kiddo." "Bye dad, Love you too, and, you will come back, right?" Kris asks nervously. Her dad smirks "I always do" he said with a wink and he backs out of the parking spot and drives to work. Waving his hand out the window as he drives away. Leaving Kris to have a strong bad feeling in the pit of her stomach.
