A while after the Freddy's incident Kris woke up, covered in scars, but awake nonetheless. She woke up with Ness, Abby and Mike at her side. Kris was cleared to work but she still had to take it somewhat easy due to some of her injuries being deeper than others.
As Kris was recovering, she stayed with Mike and Abby. Kris didn't want to see the apartment, but Ness was kind enough to drop off James to live with her, Abby and Mike.

The time was now close to Winter, the snow was just starting to fall and Kris and Ness were doing the closing shift at Sparky's, Kris was cleaning tables, which was mostly all she could do. It was peaceful when all of a sudden Kris heard the bell rang. "Sorry we are currently clos-" Kris turns around to see a face she never thought she would see again. "Nessa?" Kris says tears streaming down her face "listen Nessa, I'm sor-" Kris was interrupted by Vanessa hugging her. "It's okay, besides I missed my big sister." Vanessa says with tears also pouring from her eyes.
Vanessa pulls back from the hug and says "I brought some people who want to see you, if that is alright with you?" The door rings again to see Mike and Abby at the door. Kris smiles and goes over to them and hugs Abby then Mike.
While Mike is hugging Kris he whispers. "I'm glad you're doing better" Kris pulls back and gives him a sweet smile and they stare in each other's eyes for a moment until Ness comes between "alright lovebirds, stop being lovey dovey and let's enjoy some hot chocolate I just made." They both look away from each other, a pink blush on both of their cheeks.

Kris drinks her hot chocolate as she is sat on the counter with Mike standing next to her, she looks at her friends, her sister (and the person she possibly likes) happily. Kris looks around at the scene in front of her and smiles to herself and thinks:
