Roxanne's Pov

The tingling sensation ran through my body as his hand slipped from mine as I stood up. He watched me walk all the way to the bar, and I knew. With every step, the confidence I gained grew more and more.

People had their eyes on me, but I could tell which ones were his. He set me on fire, and I wondered if he could feel it too. I wondered if he could feel the tension that grew at every passing second that we were with each other. I wondered if he felt the same attraction that I did.

I sat down on a bar stool, facing sideways so that I could look around at everything still. The bartender came over, and I ordered a drink. I haven't drank tonight, I've been sticking with no alcohol because I want to stay sober incase Jaxon decides to do anything.

I looked around at the familiar and unfamiliar faces. People gawked at me like I was the last thing on earth, and it made me feel so good.

You can tell the difference between Jaxon and Schlatt. Schlatt has more experience in this world because of him being older. But you can also tell from him being older, he knows his lessons and limits.

Maybe that's exactly what I need.

I need someone to help me in life. I need someone who knows how to treat a woman like me. I need someone who's strong enough to handle me. I need a man, not a boy. Schlatt may be four years older, but that's still a difference.

"Hey sweetheart." I felt the seat in front of me move, and a man sat down.

"Hey." I smiled sweetly, sipping my drink.

"What are you doing here? I don't think I've ever met you before." He said, holding his hand out for me to shake.

"Well here I am." I chuckled, slowly shaking his hand as I watched him smile.

"What's your name?" He asked, causing me to chuckle and shake my head.

"None of your fucking business, creep." The arm wrapped firmly around my waist, pulling me off of my seat.

I need someone cold too so that they could deal with situations like this.

"Schlatt, I didn't know she was with you." He said, spinning in his seat.

"Well now you know, so fuck off." He held onto me tightly as we made it through the crowd.

"He's a part of Twitch's PR team." Schlatt spoke, and I nodded lightly.

"What do you say we get out of here? It's boring." I whispered, grabbing his keys from the table.

"Yeah, and do exactly what?" He rolled his eyes, holding the door open for me.

"Live a little." I said, wrapping my one arm around his shoulders.

"Don't use my words against me." He spoke, his voice dropping and rasping out.

"Do you trust me?" I said, leaning against his car.
His arms went to either side of the car, caging me in as I stared up at him.

"No." He said sarcastically, causing me to smirk.

"Great. Get in." I opened the passenger door for him before I brushed past him and walked over to the driver's seat.

"Where are we going?" He asked, as I scrolled through his phone on safari.
