Jisung smiled lightly, his head turning to the boy beside him.

"We need to talk about Chenle..." The boy muttered quietly.

Jisung nodded at him, not wanting to relive the past couple of days. He finally started to nibble on his food, feeling comfortable enough to. He looked towards the boy, waiting for him to talk again before starting the conversation. Chenle had become a touchy subject for the boy, not wanting to hear his name or anything associated with him.

"I'm so sorry he did that jisung." Hyuck put his hand on the boys arm, rubbing it gently before speaking again. "You don't deserve to be treated that way for just being yourself!"

Jisung didn't feel like he needed any sympathy, but he was appreciative of Haechan's supportive words. It was nice to know they had a small community of gay people in the school, even if it was only made up of three people that they knew of. He did wonder for a while if there was possibly more people like them in the school, but he was in doubt that he would ever find out. He nodded, thanking the boy.

"I'm just glad nothing too serious happened.." He spoke quieter than hyuck.

Jeno looked down, not wanting to talk about the fight either. He was fiddling with nari's skirt, whilst she rubbed his back. She could tell something was up, reassuring him gently whilst resting her head on his shoulder.

"other people go through much worse so.. i think im lucky." Ji gently smiled, standing up with donghyuck. "I'm headed to the bathroom, wanna come?"

Haechan shook his head, and jeno looked occupied with nari so the boy went alone.

He felt awkward walking the quiet halls alone, his feet making loud clicks on the stone floor. The boys bathroom was no different, eerily quiet even on their lunch break.

Before Jisung could step into his own cubicle, he heard some shuffling. It's normal, just another guy taking a piss. But then he heard sniffling. He wasn't one to intrude, so he felt a bit awkward about approaching the noise but he really couldn't just leave them there.

Ji knocked on the door lightly, pressing his ear to the door to see if he could hear any clearer. He jumped back when he heard the door unlock, looking down at the ground before seeing the guy.

"hey are you oka-"

It was chenle.

His face was covered with tears, them streaming down his cheeks. Jisung was taken aback, he wondered why a bully would cry.

His head was buried in his hands but jisung could tell from the guitar and backpack leaning againts the wall that it was him.

"you don't- you just don't get it." The boy below jisung answered, looking up to hun.

Chenle was shocked he saw the taller boy in front of him. He wiped his tears away, bowing to him before standing up.

"wait chenle-." Jisung spoke, grabbing the boy's shoulder to stop him from leaving. "what's- what's wrong?" He felt overly stupid for even having a conversation with chenle, nevermind starting one. It was just the kind of person he was, sweet and forgiving.

Chenle glared at jisung, softening his eyes when jisungs eyepatch came into view. "i didn't want any of this to happen." he spoke.

Ji nodded, fixing his eyepatch as the two looked in the mirrors. They both looked at themselves, chenle rubbing his eyes gently while jisung continued to fiddle with the eyepatch. He stared at his tears, feeling like such an idiot for crying. Chenle didnt think it was necessary to cry, but it was response to most things. He wiped them away with his sleeve, pressing the harsh fabric to his face.

"i'm sorry." the black haired boy mumbled, handing jisung a note. "don't read it now, read it when i'm gone." Jisung nodded to the request.

Chenle was about to leave, pushing some headphones in his ears before the taller boy stopped him again. "You nearly forgot your bag." Jisung spoke, handing the backpack over. "here."

He pressed a smile to jisung before snatching his bag and leaving. Ji didn't really know why what had just happened, well, happened. He shrugged, facing the mirror and staring at himself before he heard steps approaching. He quickly put the note in his pocket, it was clearly something secretive.

"ji, you've been in here way too long??" It was jeno.

The noise of jeno's voice made the brown haired boy jump a little. It startled him, especially after seeing chenle. he was still struck that he had a conversation with him, a short one, but a conversation. why would he talk to the guy that hit him?

"hello? ji?"
"oh hi" Jeno giggled at jisung.
"zoned out??" Jisung nodded.

The two boys returned to the caffeteria, sitting with nari. Jisung didn't tell jeno about the interaction, he was scared that it would lead to something bigger again. He didn't want to start another fight.

Lunch was over anyway, they had to go to separate classrooms so all was said was 'goodbyes' and 'see you after class.'

It was the first detention the two had to attend. Jisung was sat finishing his homework when he suddenly remembered the note that chenle passed him. Chenle still hadn't shown up, so he assumed it would be a good time to open it.

"im sorry jisung, it wasn't my intention to hit you and i don't hate you."

Jisung was extremely confused. He raised an eyebrow, crumbling up the paper into a ball and putting it at the front of his desk.

The black haired boy had been dragged in by the professor set to watch the two, unsurprisingly to Jisung. He sat down next to Ji who was already busy reading.

"Boys. You know why you're here and i will not tolerate any arguing or even talking in this classroom." Jisung looked up from his book, nodding while chenle crossed his arms.

Chenle was staring at the ceiling, sighing to himself as the boy next to him stared sneakily, he was just interested why or even how he had the audacity to be so rude.

He stared at his notebook, then to the note the black haired boy gave him, sliding the notebook toward himself. Jisung picked up his pen, writing a quick note back before folding it and placing on the desk next to him.

Chenle could see the boys movements in the corner of his eye, watching as he manoeuvred the paper onto the desk in front of him.

He was scared to open it, leaving it there for a couple of seconds before reaching forward for it.

"Hand it over." The professor spoke.

It was taken out of his hands before Chenle could even read what the other boy wrote for him. Jisung sighed, wanting to giggle at the other boy getting in trouble.

Chenle rolled his eyes, returning to his position of leaning back and staring at the ceiling.

Jisung just went back to reading, quite relieved that chenle hadnt been able to read the note, if there was any words on the paper at all.
