Chenle was sat in the music room, strumming his guitar peacefully. It was raining, his favourite time to play his instrument. He hummed along to the tune he was playing, thinking of words that might fit and jotting them down in his notebook. Chenle loved writing songs for no one to hear.

He slid his fingers from each chord to the next until he saw a familiar face peeking at him through the tiny window in the door. He smiled, signalling for jisung to join him.

"hey.. i have a free period so. Do you wanna hang out?" Jisung spoke, looking towards the ground.

Chenle nodded "of course." He put his guitar on the ground, ready to put it back in its case until jisung stopped him.

"i wanna hear you play again." He paused, chuckling. "please?"

How could chenle say no to a smile so intoxicating?

His guitar was comfortable in his lap, ready to be played. He started to play one of the songs he thought jisung would recognise. Jisung was just happy to be in Chenles presence.

Jisungs head fell into his hand, tilting as he watched the other boy played the song, listing to chenle sing was really calming. His face was covered with a smile, one he didn't even realise he was making. He thought he was so lucky that the other boy was willing to play for him, it made him feel special.

When chenle had finished the song, he giggled "you look starstruck jisungie." Which made the boy blush and stay silent, twirling his thumbs in his lap.

Chenle sighed, looking at the boys sparkly eyes. "jisung can i ask you something?"

Jisung nodded, sitting up. "ask me anything."

"have you ever kissed a guy?"

Jisung paused. He really had to think about it. Sure he'd kissed Jeno as a joke before but he didn't think that really counted.

"not really. Well not in the way i want to kiss a guy." He replied, trying to avoid eye contact with the other boy.

Chenle nodded. "Did you ever think like.. maybe you could like girls?"

Jisung shook his head roughly. "i've never liked the idea of kissing girls or like... when my parents mentioned what my future wife would be like? It's hard to explain and like everyone is different... so" He smiled lightly, trying to be as helpful as he could.

Chenle nodded again, looking back to his guitar. Jisung stayed silent but curious.

"uhm chenle?"

Chenle looked up at the boy.

"Have you ever thought about kissing guys?" Jisung stupidly asked.

"i.."

The knock on the door startled them both, cutting off chenles line of thought. While the door opened jisung felt so idiotic to ask such a question, of course it would be a no.

"Chenle? i was hoping you'd still be here," A sweet voice spoke, guitar in hand. Jisung had to turn around to get a good view of the girl. He didn't recognise her at all.

"oh yeah... sorry Haeun i forgot we agreed to practice." Chenle laughed awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck slowly.

Jisung stayed awkwardly silent as she stood in the doorframe behind him. Her head was leaning on the wood, hair draping down. He was wondering who this mysterious person was.

"it's fine baby, just let me know next time hmm?" She hummed, sending a shiver down Jisungs spine.

He didn't like the nickname, he didn't like another person calling chenle a pet name. He stood up, slinging his bag over his shoulder. "it's fine, you two go ahead."

Chenle looked up at the tall boy. "are you sure ji-"
"i'm sure." Jisung was blunt, leaving almost instantly.

As soon as he got far down the hall, his tears were just as harsh, falling down his face as he left. He didn't know why he was crying, he knew chenle was straight. He already knew this. She was probably his girlfriend, and that broke jisungs stupid heart.

He should've just trusted Jeno.
