Chapter 11

(Dessen’s POV)

Now how the hell am I supposed to answer that? She’s terrified of wolves so how am I supposed to tell her she can turn into one?

Though on the bright side, she didn’t completely freak out when I changed into one. So maybe there’s hope.

“Uh.......yes?” It sounded more like a question because I was concerned about her reaction.

She kind of just... looked at me. Then she started laughing...

And then she started crying. She flung herself into my arms and I held her tightly, waiting patiently for her to calm down.

“Dessen...” she murmured after she had stopped crying.

“Yeah?”

She stepped away from me. “Is this just another dream?”

(Miranda’s POV)

I was so totally completely confused. Like, how can this even be happening right now?

Dessen hesitated before saying, “No, Miranda. This isn’t a dream.”

“Prove it.”

He looked taken aback. Then, I watched as his eyes slowly started getting darker. He came towards me, and my brain must be working really slow because I had JUST realized what he intended to do. Before I could even react, he reached out and pulled me to his chest.

“No, wait Dessen. I didn’t mean prove it like that..”

I saw the disappointment in his eyes and it looked like he was about to start pouting any minute. I was trying my hardest not to laugh, but it came bursting out anyway.

“Eager, are we?” I teased, stepping away so he had no other choice but to let go of me.

“No, not at all.” he said sarcastically.

Okay i know its short, but i just wrote it so you guys wouldn't lose the story line or whatever. So this is basically just a filler chapter, but i PROMISE (like pinky swear) to upload a full-length chapter really really REALLY soon!
