Chapter 4

First Expedition

We are all lined up riding our horses ready to go outside the walls. I'm in front besides Erwin, Levi and his friends are behind us. I looked up and something tells me that the weather today is going to be bad.

"Advance!" The Commander said and the gates opened

We rode our horse through the field as titans are now showing up. There was one in my left and I immediately stood up from my horse and fire my ODM gear at it to slice its nape. Two more on my right and another one in my front. I sensed that there is a Titan coming from my back but when I turned around Levi and his friends already defeated the Titan.

"Not bad for a first timer, but you used too much gas. You won't survive outside the walls if run out of gas." I said to them and rode my horse away from them to help other Scout member

As I rode my horse through the field, I was right the weather is not going to be good. Rain drops started pouring and my vision are starting to get blurry, good thing I have this high sense that can help me even when I can't see clearly enough.

I heard screaming from the other scout members to my right, I immediately approached where I heard the screams and I can see four Titans, 2 Seven meter Titans, 1 fourteen Meter and one four meter Titan. I immediately cut the nape of the 14 meter titan, then the 2 seven meter and lastly the four meter Titan. I helped one of the scout members to stand up as it seems he's the only one to survive.

Then I saw a smoke signal. It's black it means not so far from here an abnormal titan is approaching. An abnormal Titan is an uncommon type of Pure Titan which could possess unusual intelligence or perform unpredictable actions. We call it abnormal because it behaves nothing like the usual Titan we see across the fields.

"Brea go towards where the signal is being fired. I can't see Levi and his friends. Make sure you defeat the Titan." Erwin commanded

I nod my head and go straight to where we saw the smoke signal. As I approached towards where the smoke signal was fired a couple more 14 meter Titans where in the way.

"Damn it why are all these Titans coming after me all at the same time. I need to be there as soon as possible, or else we would lose many scout members again." I said as I sliced through a Titan's nape "Can we maybe like get over with this already?"

Two more Titans are heading towards me which are this time are a 7 meter as I sliced the last standing 14 meter Titan.

"Glad that was over, Alright let's go girl!" I said as I hurried up with my horse towards the smoke signal.

The smoke signal is barely visible because of the rain. As my horse run towards the direction where we saw the smoke signal I heard screams of range

"Brea!" I heard Erwin and his squad from behind

I stopped my horse and turned to their direction. Erwin gave me "The Look" and I understood immediately.

The rain keeps pouring as the fog finally cleared. We saw Levi covered in blood as the abnormal Titan starts to disintegrate. I stared at him wide eyed. I saw his friends lying on the ground. They clearly tried to defeat the abnormal Titan on their own.

Levi was still on the ground clearly at rage as he finished off the abnormal Titan. I saw Isabel's head on the ground clearly beheaded by the Titan not so far away from it is Furlan's half body with the other half not on sight signifying that the Titan ate half of his body.

I covered my mouth with my hands. I'm used to seeing my comrades being slaughtered by man eating Titans. But seeing Levi with rage, I can only imagine how hurt he was.

Erwin then approach Levi and said he knew all along what the three of them are planning to do.

"This is what he have to deal with every time we go outside the walls. Put your heads up and do not Regret your decisions." Erwin said with authority
