Omg guys I love ur comments they make me laugh lol

All she could think about was that damned voicemail. She could hardly focus on the conversation they were having at lunch. They stopped at a restaurant on their way home and were seated next to the window. Y/n stared out.

"Earth to y/n," she heard. Sadie was waving her hand in her direction. "Are you okay?" Millie asked.

"Oh yeah sorry," she said returning her attention to the table. She was going to confront Miles about it, even if she did listen to it she'd ask him what it was about and why the hell he sent a voicemail at 3am of all times. If it was a butt dial wouldn't he have noticed?

"I don't know," Sophia said. "I think something is up with them," Y/n attention was brought back to the conversation.

"Yeah it feels off, I don't know I think Summer might be hiding something," Sadie added. "Can't be sure though I have no evidence,"

"I feel like Miles acts different around her," Millie said. "I asked him about it and he say everything's okay, I just hope he is telling the truth, I worry about him,"

Y/n hadn't paid too close attention to notice but maybe they were right.

They head back to the Manor. It was late afternoon now. Y/n was determined to talk to Miles but she wanted to wait till after dinner when everyone was occupied with their own things.

She went inside and worked on school stuff for a few hours. Later it was dinner. After everyone cleared y/n stayed and helped clean up before going up to Miles room. She knocked lightly on the door. She heard footsteps and the door opened.

"Y/n?"

"Uh can I come in?" She asked.

He paused. "Yeah"

She walked past him and stood in the middle of the room. How she missed this room.

"So I came to ask you," she turned.

He closed the door and walked up by her.

"You, left a voicemail," she said slowly.

He froze. It's was then he remembered what he had said. It must have been caught on the voicemail.

"I haven't listen to it but-"

"Then you shouldn't, there isn't anything on it really,"

She cocked an eyebrow. "Is that so?"

"Yeah of course not," he forced a chuckle.

She was curious now. "Well then what does it matter if I just," she pulls out her phone. He leaps toward her. She dodges his hands. He tackles her as she clicks on her voicemail box. She falls on his bed on her stomach, her arms out stretch with her phone. He toppled on top of her lying on her back. As he fell on her, her phone fell out of her hand and onto the ground out of reach. The voicemail playing. They both froze. Miles grabbing her arms in attempt to grab her phone too late.

"God y/n, I care about you so much. I wish, I wish I could go back and make everything right. You deserve it. Maybe if I hadn't let you go we'd still be together, and maybe" he chuckles. " I'd even propose, gosh would that be something, we'd get married and even might have kids. You would be a great wife, and mother."

She doesn't move, not only because miles is on top of her but from the inability to process what she heard. Was it true?

Shit he thought. What now? He was still laying on her, which was downright terrifying after what happened. He climbed off her, sitting on the edge of the bed, head in his hands.

She didn't move. What was he thinking being so careless and reckless, why was he even in this situation. Why didn't he just tell Summer how he felt and move on with his life. Why was he stuck?

She finally moved sitting on the edge of the bed next to him. She didn't say anything.

Flashback

Miles and y/n sat on the edge of his bed.
"I'm sorry y/n, I just think, I need space,"
It's all he could say, he didn't want her to make decisions because of him, he didn't want to hold her back from what she was capable of doing, she was going to do great things and he didn't want her to take away her potential to stay with him in his small world.

She frowned unable to respond. She was sad, she loved him, letting him go felt almost impossible. Was she too much?

"It's really not your fault,"

She didn't care, why did it matter, he still wanted her gone.

————
"I'm confused," she said.

"So am I" he said.

"I think, we should," she paused. "I need some time to process and," she said "well your, with Summer," her voice trailed off.

"I need time," he said. They agreed. She walked out leaving him there alone. In those moments he wanted to yell, scream, kiss her, hold her, maybe even do more than that. He really fucked up now he thought. What the hell was he gonna do?
